Not B movies. AP's films have uniformly been H (for horrid) movies. Even T
(for terrible) movies. Often SWoT (for silly waste of time) movies. HL
Endgame most certainly included.

Unless & until it does sell, that still counts as unemployed.

Sure--like taking the Charmed role. Because THAT gem of a choice was
obviously going to advance his career....
Career-wise, AP seems .... scattered is the kindest way I can put it. It is
SO time for him to move on from the action roles, but he now plonks yet
another "Highlander" credit on his resume. It's getting sad.
Wendy--

And yet, last night's episode reeked, even for SG-1. Way too many bugs
(they just tweaked all the computer simulations they used for the
replicators, right?) & ludicrous last minute rescues, & far too little
beautiful Ben.
Nina (in contrast to AP, BB's post-genre series indie movie [A Killer
Within]) didn't even suck) (& after HIS genre series, BB managed to get a
hit TV show guest role [CSI Miami]) (& a network TV movie [Charlie's Angels
retrospective]) (well, someone had to play Lee Majors) (& then landed the
lead in another show) (even if it IS still genre) (the cut & paste nature of
which must bore him after all he accomplished on Farscape) (& it films in
Canada) (where surfing is...limited) (but, BB is almost always working) (AP
almost never is)

I see you conveniently avoided noting the fact that he just finished doing a
live play.
And even horrid H movies --- of which he has had many, are counted as
employmente, as working, in case you didn't know that :)
And Snow Prince is still on line for him to do.
Under-employed, maybe.
But un-employed, nah.

Perhaps. But the Internet Movie Database has John Mills listed as a cast
member. And John Mills is *dead*. About as dead as this project, I
should think.
Wendy(Would playing the Snow Price require AP to wear tights?)(Because I
don't want to see that.)(Men in tights bother me.)(Makes going to the
ballet an iffy proposition)(Even Mikhail Baryshnikov in his prime
freaked me out a bit.)(OTOH, I enjoyed "Men in Tights")(Go figure.)

So, from this can we gather that you're not a
Highlander: The Series fan, a Highlander: Endgame fan,
or an Adrian Paul fan? From the sound of it you'd be
happy if no more Highlander ever came to our screens.
That seems to leave the movies, at least. Well, I
suppose it's better than nothing.
I say it's high time we stopped all the Highlander
bashing. In fact, let's stop the *everything*
bashing. How about we share the things that we *do*
like about Highlander, and the people involved in it,
and live up to the true potential of this list.
At the risk of drawing untold flames in my direction,
I'll start. I, for one, am GLAD more Highlander is on
the way. After all, some Highlander is better than no
Highlander at all, and anything with Methos in it
can't ba all bad.

The things I enjoy enormously about Highlander:
1. Duncan's katana. It's WAY cool.
2. Swordfights. Also, way cool. WAY, way cool.
3. Richie. Duh! :)
4. Eye of the Beholder, The Samurai, Line of Fire, They Also Serve,
Chivalry, etc
5. The barge. I loved the barge!
6. Paris in general.
7. Recycled actors. I love playing "spot the actor"!
8. James Horton. Come on, I know he's the bad guy, but he doesn't have
any powers
or Immortal attributes, and he *still* makes Duncan's life a misery.
That takes talent!
(This is also why I love Lex Luthor.)
9. Moral dilemmas with no pat answers.
10. The loft. I love the loft!
And now, just *sommer*... Things I enjoy enormously about Stargate
1. The way Teal'c fires a P-90 with only one hand.
2. Daniel's post-season 2 hair.
3. Daniel. Duh!
4. Rodney. Rodney RULES, man!
5. Mitchell's beautiful blue eyes.
6. Daniel's beautiful blue eyes.
7. The Asgard. "Thor! Buddy!"
8. The Wraith. Do you think the Wraith would take crap from the Goa'uld? I
don't think so!!
9. The occasional swordfight. :)
10. All those episodes with doubles of people.
11. Ronon's bizarre hair.
12. Sheppard's bizarre hair.
13. Beckett's bizarre hair.
14. Beckett's accent! :)
- Marina. (Who, yes, was sitting watching TV today and thought, "I
should make a list
of all the things I like about my favourite shows...) (And who hopes the
six seasons of
HL DVDs that she ordered come soon!)

EXCLUSIVE: THE NAME'S BOND.. BROKE BOND
BIFF! 007 Craig loses two front teeth in first fight scene BASH! The
baddie who whacked him was only a henchman
By Grant Hodgson
NEW James Bond Daniel Craig has already failed to make the grade as a
tough guy - after a villain knocked out two of his teeth in his FIRST fight
scene.
Craig, 37, was in Prague filming the remake of Casino Royale when the
stunt went wrong.
As the shaken star staggered backwards clutching his bleeding mouth,
cameramen thought it was a brilliant piece of acting.
But they quickly realised the new 007 was really hurt. His injuries were
so bad local dentistry experts could not treat him. So Craig's dentist was
flown out from London for emergency surgery in the Czech capital Prague.
Dentist Rod McNeil, based in London's Cavendish Square, fixed caps to his
broken teeth then flew back to Britain.
The actor has now been given six gumshields and told to wear them while
filming stunt scenes for the £60million movie at Prague's Barrandov Studios.
Craig's predecessor as Bond, Pierce Brosnan, 52, said he was "gutted" to
have lost the role after four outings as the secret agent. He also said he
would love to resume the role if Craig's version proved to be a flop.

<<The things I enjoy enormously about Highlander:>>
I liked reading the other list so much I had to make
one of my own.
1. Methos. Heck, I enjoyed that so much I'll say it
again. Methos Methos Methos.
2. Swordfights. Anything where you have the potential
of losing a limb has got to be fun.
3. Ritchie. He's alive I tell you, ALIVE!
4. The Horsemen. The best bad dude's since the Bronze
Age. :)
5. Comes A Horseman & Revelations 6:8. My two most
favourite epsiodes of all time.
6. Connor MacLeod. Love that accent.
7. The Mustang. That car is so cool even a penguin
needs a jacket around it.
8. Highlander: The Raven. Yes, I DID like it. And
besides, we get to see Valentine Pelka as a Kimmie all
over again.
9. The Watchers. World's best advertisment for
stalking. <G>.
10. And last but not least, the movies. ALL of the
movies. Even Highlander 2. I WANT one of those
flying skateboard things!
Hope the rest of you join in...
Krista..

I have no idea where Steve Guttenberg got these statistics and I realize I
have to consider the source of the information was TV Guide, but he made the
following comments about 98 percent of actors being unemployed most of the
time in a TV guide article recently:
TVGuide.com: Which film franchise do you have the fondest memories of —
Cocoon, Police Academy, Three Men and a Baby or Short Circuit?
Guttenberg: They all have a special place for me, they're all special
victories in a very tough business. They've afforded me a way of living as
an actor that's much more human than [the way] 98 percent of the Screen
Actors Guild, who are unemployed all the time, live. Out of 100,000 members
of the Screen Actors Guild, 2,000 make over $7,500 a year. I expect that you
make over $7,500 a year?
TVGuide.com: As a matter of fact, I do.
Guttenberg: But 98,000 actors who aren't on Friends or in the latest Star
Wars make $7,500 a year acting.
TVGuide.com: That's very sobering.

Do you mean the thing in LA before The Source? It sounded like a glorified
acting class exercise. Sure, he should keep busy, but that's hardly
Broadway, is it?
>>>And Snow Prince is still on line for him to do.
If that project were a kid, it would be smoking pot & questioning his or her
sexuality by now....

Krista--

Well, you can gather whatever you like, but do be careful what you pick up.
I'd advise keeping a Wet-One at the ready.
Now, Endgame (AKA--"our gift to the fans") sucked. AP basically admitted as
much, & the producers had to (ka-ching!) issue a special cut to fix half the
gaffes (&, of course, add to them as well). But, if you LIKE continuity
disasters, character assassination, nausea-inducing editing, pouty-lipped
tarts, scenery-chewing villains, & morphing heads--then Endgame is the flick
for you.
But, nothing I wrote even touched on Highlander: The Series, which was
indeed a remarkable chunk of television. Flawed, of course, as to certain
episodes, characters & plot lines (& season 6 in its entirety), but
wonderful & unique & amazing & something I will always love.
And, for whatever reason, AP has not managed a decent role since then.
Maybe it IS a matter of stereotyping, & cutting off the ponytail wasn't
enough to put Duncan MacLeod behind him. Maybe he's too pretty. Maybe it's
his breath. Maybe he considers himself "above" mainstream TV or movies w/
any chance of commerical success. Maybe his agent remains in a coma. I
really don't know, but the wait for AP to "make it big" has become chronic.
> From the sound of it you'd be
> happy if no more Highlander ever came to our screens.
No, I just demand that any Highlander be _good_ Highlander, which hasn't
happened in a VERY long time. After all the dreck, it is silly to expect
anything else.
> I say it's high time we stopped all the Highlander

Oh, well, if YOU say so.... Krista, it sounds like you confuse "fan" w/
"brain-dead sycophant."
Marina--
>>>Ben Browder? Hah! It's had Michael Shanks for NINE YEARS! Who needs
Ben Browder when you have Sexy, Cute Archaeologist Boy >>>
Well, obviously, TPTB felt that SG-1 needed Ben Browder. (And they were SO
right.) I hear Specks will be taking several eps off in the 2nd half of the
season.

Then you'll probably love HL: The Source. And it's folks like you who make
it worthwhile for DPP to bastardize Highlander in perpetuity. Thanks!
