      Four hundred years of being the hero gets boring. Deep down inside he
      wanted an excuse to take a walk on the wild side for a change. :)

      No way! Not me!! I'm going to spend $12.95 for the silver plated display
      stand, so it will match the medallion. AND I'm going to spend 15 minutes
      every week polishing it so it'll stay pretty and shiny.

      Subject: HLDU Walkabout Workshop in LA

      Hi all

      We have always wanted to meet with fellow Highlander fans for a round table
      discussion that takes us beyond the surface of the episodes and into the
      craft of how these episodes were actually put together.

      In between Conventions, which are held in Australia, we want to offer
      various activities elsewhere in the world (hence the title 'Walkabout' )
      that are interesting in their own right but also help raise funds for our
      major Conventions.

      We are kicking off our second such activity (the first was the Tour to
      Scotland in 2002) with:

      An in-depth study of some seminal episodes, including:

      Homeland
      Forgive Us Our Trespassers
      The Modern Prometheus

      Guests (Confirmed)
      *****************
      Elizabeth Gracen
      David Abramowitz
      Roger Bellon

      Other guests will be announced shortly.

      Master of Ceremonies
      ********************
      The incomparable John Bierly.

      Prices
      USD$200 for the workshop only. Numbers are limited to ensure a more
      intimate surround for discussion.

      Format
      *******
      You can expect:
      panel discussions with fans and guests alike discussing the ethics of 'real
      person' characterisation (Byron);

      a presentation on the real history of Culloden and Byron and the Romantics;

      copies of different script drafts and discussion on why it changed;

      sword choreography;

      how was the music put together...

      fan/guest panels/debates

      You will be stimulated and engage in a level of discussion about the craft
      of acting/directing/producing that you have not had a chance to engage in
      previously.

      There will be 'no' autographs or traditional Question & Answer sessions.
      Where there is a Q&A it will focus on the person's craft/profession
      particularly in relation to Highlander and the episodes under review.

      Program
      The full Program will be announced as soon as we have confirmed all of our
      guests. As is usual with an HLDU experience, you can expect an action
      packed two days + an event on the Saturday evening.

      Location
      To be announced shortly.
