"demonstration" -- and there is no reason anyone to have an umbrella, as they
do in some of the photos. Nor is there any HL-related reason for the

last year's WTO protests in Seattle (which they are). Nor does the corner

Actually it did rain. Unless you have a weather report to prove otherwise,
we were there, we should know.

      Me:

Well, Lance, I live in LA, and it was 68 degrees and sunny on that particular day. No Rain! In fact, we just got our first rains of the season right before Christmas. I'll see if I still have the weather reports from that day, and send them along. Did I mention that I lived in West Hollywood for 10 years, and know the street where the DPP offices are quite well.....there is nothing there resembling the background in your photos.

Anyone want to wager that the reason for these discrepancies, according to Lance, is that in fact, due to threats by renegade Duncan fans/HL fans/Anti-Connor fans or other unknown persons, the consortium actually protested at a secret site just to throw us all off the track.....

      <<Lance also mentions in passing>>

      <<Lance, again:>>

I admit the photos are murky but how can you argue with their content?

      Me:

They're not murky, they are not real. Let me ask you this, If somehow the WTO were to state to you that those are pictures of their protest last year, would you agree to stop pretending that the "Million (or 1) Fan March" ever happened??

      1. Was Jillian (short-lived fiancee of Methos/alternate universe) in NTB named after
      Gillian Horvath?

      2. If yes, does it mean that writers include themselves with fans and affectionately lend
their names to marginal, dippy, criminal or soon to be deceased characters? (This
character is deceased. It is an ex-character. If it weren't nailed to its perch ...)

Or, having left after Season V, was Gillian demoted to fan status and her name given to
a dippy character AND murder victim in Season VI?

      3. I think it comes down to numbers. Other than Duncan, Methos, Joe, Amanda and
Richie, what other kinds of characters are there in HL? OK, so there's a handful of noble
characters: Rebecca, Sean Burns, Darius. But the law of averages makes it more likely
that a character named after anyone, friend or foe, would be marginal, dippy, criminal, or
      dead before the tag.

IIRC, it's done with the person's permission (Why did Linda Wyatt
die?). It saves them a lot of trouble to not have to research
      the name.

Did we remember that Dr. Maier showed up on the Baywatch about
      the big eel?

And yes, I think that it gives the writers a certain amount of
perverse pleasure to gently poke their friends. It also gave us
some giggles; the idea of Julie Beamer, proper, geezerly Julie,
as a dead hooker was just too funny, and we were all warm and
fuzzy inside when Richie kissed Marina.
