      he needs no introduction--

Then, I guess you don't mind that such a ridiculous comparison results in
you looking like an, well, remember the answer to DM's trivia question to
      Methos in CaH's teaser?

      > economic consequences of a boycott that they deny even meeting with us in
      an
      > effort to discredit us.

How odd--a DPP scheme that actually succeeds. (As opposed to--"Hey, let's
save big bucks by filming in Romania!")

      > To protect their identities, I decided not to reveal their names. Call it
      > respect for DPP inspite of what they did to Connor.

No, I think I'll call it--being caught in a lie.

      > Actually it did rain. Unless you have a weather report to prove
      otherwise,

      BUT THEN HE SAYS--
      > I'm saying the police were hosing us down in an attempt to contain us.

      Oops.

      > Another list member has already provided this info. he has said he will
      > portray Connor again.

About that. I really can't figure out what Joanne was saying that CL said,
but the blurb I'm thinking of was filmed while they were still in Romania.
For one thing, CL hadn't seen the final footage to notice how damned OLD he
looked; it's hard to believe he would want to continue that. And TPTB were
then reeling from the script being leaked & falling all over themselves to
say it was really, really different from what was being shot. (Turned out
it wasn't very different at all--you can't trust anyone, can you?) The LAST
thing CL could have said then was--"Hey, no way am I coming back because I
lose my head in this flick!" So, sure, he said something about coming back
if they wanted him & had a good script. Isn't that what most actors would
say, as opposed to absolutely refusing future work? For that matter, at
that point CL (who knew he got whacked) was probably thinking of Connor
returning in a future film in the same way that Connery's Ramirez returned
in HL2; even more likely, he was thinking of appearing in a short flashback
scene. Still dead--just a cameo in a future flick.

Besides, any "Save Connor" campaign overlooks something pretty major. HL:EG
flopped, & I doubt there will be any more HL films. So, what exactly is
Connor being saved FOR? To cavort in an animated Internet thingee, as
      Methos' pal? Ick.

      >The turtle is the national symbol for Save Connor.

Julie Beamer (dead hooker), Linda Wyatt (dead research biologist), and
Lisa Kadlec (not dead--amazingly, perhaps--regression hypnotherapist)
were all characters on FK episodes. I think I remember Gillian saying
something about it being much easier to get her choice of names in her
FK scripts then in HL storylines. Too bad--I always wanted to be a
K'immie. Even had the 'K' sound in my name. :-)

Lisa's wierd 'semi-fame' moment: The first East Coast Syndicon took
place the weekend after 'Francesca' ('my' FK episode) ran. Adrian was
in the Philippines filming 'Dead Men Can't Dance,' and Nigel Bennett
from FK was a guest at the con. So was Gillian. They showed
'Francesca' and then had a little FK panel (Nigel directed that
episode). Later that weekend, some guy comes up to me at the Coke
machine on my floor of the con hotel, and says something like, 'You're
      Lisa Kadlec, right?'

      Me (confused): 'Um, yes.'

Him: Can I take your picture? My (wife/girlfriend/SO--I don't recall)
is a big Forever Knight fan.'

Me (a little baffled): 'Sure, I guess so.' (or something like that)

Very surreal experience, I must say.

Her lab assistant was helping another doctor steal her research

Odd. When I think of Duncan (Boy Scout Plus--complex, intellectual, moral,
compassionate, passionate, gorgeous & much more), you are the farthest thing
from my mind. Your views & methods strike me as the polar opposite of ONH,
in fact. Or are you saying that you are both fictional?

Well..I watched 2 hours of Raven and only a little grey matter dripped out of one ear ( I can still operate complex machinery) so perhaps this exercise won't be fatal <eg>

As always, I will try to be as exact as possible but I make no guarantee that I will catch every 2 second addition or every word of dialog. I'll try to give a "feel" for the character's appearance, facial expression, non-verbal communication, etc. in scenes that are completely new.
      ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

      Reborn:

      1) Scene: Amanda goes to see Harry the Fence.

American: Amanda rings doorbell and then scene shifts to inside of house, with Harry's body on floor and Amanda's voice calling "Harry, are you up there?".

Euro: Amanda rings bell and waits. Knocks. Waits. Glances around and then proceeds to jimmy the lock. The neighbor watches from her window. As Amanda opens door, the scenes picks up with the American version and Harry's body.

      2) Same scene a moment later

American: Amanda puts her hand on Harry's body and says, "Aw , Harry". Then we see her leave by the front door, stopping to wipe the door knocker with her hankie.

Euro: After she pats Harry, she stands up and looks around. Sees big safe with door ajar. She goes to the safe and opens it (using an elbow to avoid fingerprints). It's empty. She looks sadly at Harry and says, "Why couldn't they just rob you". Then she takes out her hankie and proceeds to wipe everything she has touched, working her way back downstairs where we pick up the American version with her leaving the house.

      3) Scene: Amanda bolts when Nick and the police come to arrest her

American: Amanda makes it to the roof and locks the door. She looks over her equipment. The locked door is kicked open from the other side and Nick appears yelling "Freeze!"

Euro: Amanda makes it to the roof and bolts door. She works on her equipment. The door is kicked from the inside but holds. Amanda works on her equipment. The door is kicked- and holds - again. More equipment. More kicking. More equipment. Finally a kick that opens the door and Nick appears. Resume American version. (It's all very fast but it is more realistic- the heavy door doesn't break the first time it's kicked and it takes her longer to rig her escape ropes.)

      4) Scene: After Ferris (bad cop) tries to shoot Nick, Nick and Amanda talk and then she walks away saying she works better alone

American: Scene shifts to Claudia (Nick's partner) picking him up to hunt for Ferris...then to Ferris returning to his car from somewhere. Car doesn't start.

Euro. Scene shifts to Ferris parking the car in an alleyway. He gets out of the car and walks toward an old warehouse. Amanda appears, opens the hood of the car and fiddles with something. She closes the hood and fades away. We see Ferris entering the building some distance from the car. Then the scene shifts to Nick ad Claudia followed by Ferris returning to the car. (Now we know why the car didn't start!)

That's it. Nothing exciting in "Reborn"

      Subject: Old Endgame Trailers--Request

Many listees will remember that when the Endgame trailer hit the Net, we
got several different versions. As far as I recall, there was a first,
shorter one, which was the same as the one which ran in front of 'Scary
Movie' (and, in some cases, 'X-Men'). Then there was a second, longer
one, which generated a lot of list traffic as those of us with computers
of different ages and technological advances tried to download and play
it. That one featured the Rob Zombie song at the end, but didn't
include the big 'supernatural' elements (Kell being cleaved in two only
to result in two complete Kells, the globe-thingy with Connor's face in
it, and the 'Stargate'). *Then*, after that, came longish preview #2,
which IIRC used the same music toward the end, but included the
aforementioned supernatural elements. This 3rd preview is still
available at the Endgame website (which is still up). However, I really
liked that 2nd one (the 1st of the longer, more stylish previews). I
had saved it to my folder on one of our lab computers, with the
intention of sticking it on a ZIP disk. It was there for quite some
time, but seems to have disappeared. I had told a couple of people that
I'd show it to them some time, and, well, I just liked it a lot and
would like to have a copy. Plus, I just bought a new laptop, so my
hardware is up to the task of running such things, and I wanted to see
how it would look on the new machine.

So, does anyone out there know a) which trailer I'm talking about, and
      b) if there's anywhere on the web where I might still find it? Or did
any of my fellow fans save a copy of it somewhere (and if you did, how
big is it and can you send it to me somehow)?

I take it that even in the Euro, when Ferris takes several shots at Nick
_outside the cop shop_ no one comes out to investigate.

      >>> Amanda appears, opens the hood of the car and fiddles with something.

OK, but I have a hard time seeing even Raven-Amanda as the car mechanic
      type.

      > That's it. Nothing exciting in "Reborn"

      Well, it's still Raven, then.  At least Claudia died early in the series;
      she was annoying.

      > Wendy(I wanted something...more.)

Well, I wanted _Highlander_, or at least a reasonable facsimile thereof.
Didn't even get any sex, since TPTB decided to make Amanda a light-fingered
      nun w/ a smart mouth.

      Thanks for the euros.

Nina (Feel free to just make up some really good stuff--actual dialogue,
fully-developed characters, angst, adept swordplay, plots, ancient
flashbacks, decent hair for Nick, real clothing for Amanda, supporting roles
for the supporting characters, hot sex--everything Raven lacked. Plenty of
      room for creative effort.)
