I really loved that little head tilt, small smile and wee bit of a shrug that
Connor did just before he took the other guy out--in the flasback where the
other guy accidentally had himself hanging from a beam, caught by his own
weapon.....I saw it in the "Earlier Version" on the second DVD, and then
didn't see it in the final cut on the other DVD. I don't remember seeing it
      in the theater either.

Little things like that add so much to a film, why the hey do they cut them
out? It isn't like the theatrical version was too long (not hardly!!) or
      something.

      Oh well, just another thought!

      Forever Peace,

Billie-Lee (who is now watching her Director's Cut DVD of Highlander ONE just
      for fun <g>!!)

I remember the excitement of knowing I would meet all the people I had been talking to
online for over a year: Debbie, Obie, Gillian, and Claire to name a few. The fun of
sitting in a hallway waiting for the dealers room to open and have Adrian Paul walk
right down the hall while we were waiting with saying a bemused "Good Morning" to us
(a handful of people recovered from the shock to reply "Good Morning" a few minutes
later. The joy and enthusiasm of being with other *fans* of a show that most of my
friends had never heard of. The sessions, the dealer rooms, the conversations struck
      up in lines.

Then, of course, G-1 was followed by G-2 and G-3, Syndicons, The Celebration in
Anaheim, and Legacy 2000. At the cons I would catch up with friends, convince Wendy
to buy the ferret puppet, collect buttons, convince Lisa that airfare was cheap and
California wasn't that far from Virginia and New Jersey and we *deserved* to go, hang
out with Deb and Rob, et al in the hotel bar, cross paths with Valentine Pelka three
times in one day, look out at the baseball diamond across the street, going to
sessions, meeting more people, watching videos, and having a rollicking good time.

      Julie
      Founding Geezer, etc.

Lisa Kadlec (posed to Karyn's left in the group list photo - with Debbie
way up at the top, brandishing her whip) asked for other memories of G2.

      - Getting my first, homemade fannish button which said "Richie Forever!"
and showed a cirle and slash ("No") over a picture of a cherry with a
cocktail sword through it. (The button was red.) (The cherry and
cocktail sword was a reference to a Q&A response which Stan gave at G1
which, thanks to Jim Byrnes, wound up in the gutter.)

      - Being so warmly accepted by HIGHLA-L list members.

      - Attending the list party, eating raw pizza and praying I wouldn't fall
      into the empty pool.

      - Sheila Marie Lane feeling so upset, after repeated attempts, that
Stan's call wouldn't go through to Marina.

      - Getting to meet Sensei Rob over the course of repeated passings in the
long hallway as he advanced in the card game tournament and finally
seeing his ear-to-ear grin after he won the grand prize of an
      autographed Highlander katana.

      - The HIGHLA-L group photo. Though I didn't sit for it, I was the camera
operator for many of the cameras belonging to the 37+ list members in
attendance. I'll always cherish the memory of seeing HIGHLA-L members
united together in the wearing of a common t-shirt.

      - F. Braun McAsh's first meeting with the fans and getting to talk
casually with us in the atrium..... and he kept going and going and
      going..... <g> Spoiler City.

      - T. J. Glenn.

picture of me ever turned out.) <Janine waves at Jill.>

Even though I'm not apart of the MFWC, I seem to remember something about
legos too:). I'd forgotten about the M&Ms. In my early days here on HIGHLA-L
and on the PWFC I remember M&Ms being tossed back and forth and then the
legos! As a newbie I kept ducking! It got dangerous at times;). Ah, the
      memories:).

And with the beer being present does that mean the ROG (or the guy w/ the
nose!) is gonna be there? I think he might still be upset w/ me and Colleen
in the fanfic fandom cos of 'Methos in the Morning':). Hope not. *taps foot
nervously* Which BTW way, being the moron I am this early in the morning (he
needs his beer, I need my hot chocolate) does anyone have a webpage link to
that story? I had one, but forgot about it when I upgraded the comp and was
even more idiotic in college when I never saved a copy of it then. I'm
wanting to put it up on my webpage:). So if any of you do, could you e me
      offlist please? Thanks!

There were certain bits on the early cut that I wish had made the final
cut, but I was actually glad they cut out this little scene. If this is
indeed the same scene we are talking about, the villagers had just burned
Connor's mother and he was driven nearly mad with anger with it. To insert
a humorous moment into it like that little smile and tilt with the head
would have been grossly out of place. It would be improper as well and
would defeat the serious momentum of the scene.

Well, I see what you mean, Gerry, but I still rather liked that bit. I guess
you are right about it being out of place though...............<sigh & grin>

Egad, another great link to the past! Thanks, Debbie. I'd been wondering
about cats. She also had that very unfun episode with her reaction to Silly
String, of all things, but ZK knows more about that.

Thank you so much Debbie! I thought it was cats or catses but wasn't sure.
I know that after the Balt con, I really missed her tossing of bells and
      ribbons :)

I can only sit in awe of what cats has been through and am soooo glad to get
      an update.

I seem to still have this in my archives. <Shush all you MFWC people>
I can compress it and send it to you, but I need to know what species
of computer you have so i can compress it correctly.

Just thought I'd tell you that First Wave is on right now (7pm mountain
time) with both PW and JB. I'm sure it will be repeated later as Sci-Fi
usually runs their shows twice a night, 3 hours apart.

Oh thank you thank you thank you! Yay! Well, I don't have a Mac Comp, but I
do have an ancient Pentium 330:). I know, I sell comps for a living and I
have one this outdated! Anywho, Thank you Laura. I can take regularly zipped
files and can take almost anything through e-mail so long as it's no bigger
than 3MB. My e-mail service is picky about how big the files are that get
sent through. I would greatly appreciate it if you could send them to me. I
believe we had written (Colleen and I) six chapters. It's been so long I
don't really remember. Sad, yes I know. But thank you so much!
