Subject: Original HL Movie Costume Auction
There's an auction currently happening in England that includes a wide
range of genre film costumes, including a few from the original Highlander
movie. A full Connor tartan! Ramirez! The Kurgan! I was a fan of the
original movie even before the series, so looking at those few costumes
brought on a wave of nostalgia. I think I will have to dig out the original
DVD for a viewing.
I tried doing a direct link to each one, but couldn't get it to work. The
Highlander costumes are Lots 342 - 346. (Which is easily entered in the
search box.)

Wow! Thanks, Karyn. The Kurgan's leather jacket??
Ramirez' "Spanish Peacock" getup? I think they'll go
for a lot more than their estimates.
Did anyone else see the recent show on The History
Channel about the Star Trek prop auction? Christie's
did an amazing job, but one thing they weren't
prepared for was what people were willing to pay. They
underestimated by rather a lot, really. The
Enterprise-D model (a huge thing) went for $500,000.
