I came across the following link today. It illustrates
why cheap katanas should never be swung through the air,
      however gently.

      http://home.gwu.edu/~kluss/486/katanaslip.mpeg

The link seems to be to a 30 second video clip from a
Home Shopping Network broadcast. A cheap katana was
being offered, the announcer tapped the sword on the
table top, the blade shattered, and part came back and
hit him. If you're worried about watching it, the
injury did not seem to be serious and no blood is
      shown.

The link worked best for me after I pasted it into
Internet Explorer and hit <enter>. (The video stuttered
and ran very slowly when I clicked directly on the
      link in my email program.)

      Regards,
      Bill

The traffic to the site must be way too high. I can't even get a
      recognition from the address.

Okay, so I've gone through three (3) copies of Season Two, and in every
one of them there is a sound/video hesitation during "Studies in Light."

It occurs at the spot when Duncan is talking to Gregor after Richie's
motorcycle mishap. Has anyone else seen this? After my third set, I'm
pretty sure it's a mastering issue...

      Hi Greg

I couldn't get to it just now either. The link
      http://home.gwu.edu/~kluss/486/katanaslip.mpeg
did work for me an hour and a half ago. I'm glad
I saved the file at that time.

If you want to download it, I just uploaded the file
      "katanaslip.mpeg" to

      ftp://ftp.hardwaregroup.com/incoming

Please don't spread the word about this file outside
this mailing list! I don't want to flood my friend's
      server.

Note that the MPEG file is 5 MB in size. (At the time
I posted my previous message, I didn't realize that it
was so big. It helps that I have a fast cable connection.)

As I said earlier, it works best if you download the
file first and then play it. (Right click on the link
in Internet Explorer and choose "Save target as".)

      Regards,
      Bill
