Oh dear. Not sure if this is a good thing or not. Tonight during the 2nd StarGate ep i say a promo for HL: Endgame, to be shown this Friday. Not sure which version they would show. It will be interesting to see how they cut this.

It's actually a double. They're showing Highlander 2
first and then Endgame. Not that I want to sit through
The Sickening again, but I might watch at least part
of Endgame. Depending on where in the movie they are
when I tune in, it usually doesn't take long to decide
which cut it is. (Are there two cuts or four? I've
heard varying stories)
( I'm still mad at Scifi anyway....taking off Forever
Knight and then Tracker. *Shakes head* No sense
whatsoever.)
Mel, who wonders why, with the movie track record,
TPTB even want to try for an HL 5

I have one question: Why do they insist on being more
violent in the movies and actually showing some of the
beheadings? I always liked the series method of not
showing the whole thing better. I guess it's just a
'it's in the theatre so we can loosen up a little and
be more bloody' kind of thing.

Hardly matters. Connor will still be suicidal, old & rather silly. Duncan
will still be married. Holy Ground will still be violated w/ no one
bothering to quibble over the atrocity. Kell will still strut & whisper,
both badly. Methos will still be wasted (as in under-used, not as in
drunk). The Watchers will still be dim-witted. Minion Manny will still be
left officially unnamed & quivering under the Last Supper table munching on
a loaf of bread. DM's near-the-end kata will still be criminally short.
Continuity errors will still abound. I will still be alternately
appalled/queasy/bored. DPP will still threaten the HL fandom w/ doing it
all again & making it even harder to love what they somehow managed to do
once, long ago now, w/ the series.
Nina (HL:EG--bad editing. But the music is nice.)
