Buffy hasn't been canceled as far as I know and I've heard nothing
about whether Sarah Michelle Geller has made a decision about signing
a new contract (her current one is up at the end of the season). I do
know what Anthony Stewart Head said in an interview on SciFiWire in
Nov. but it hasn't be collaborated as far as I know. Do you know
something? <<
Apparently Joss Whedon has decided that it is time to finish it. Not at
all unexpected. I got the information on the Starfury board, and then got
it from several other people too.
>> I haven't heard anything yet about a Andromeda cancellation
either. What have you heard? <<
I only got that from one person, and haven't heard anything else, I am
trying to find out if it is true.
>> (I've mostly lost interest in Stargate since Michael Shanks's
departure - the new character dynamics of the show just don't have
enough spark to keep me interested any more) <<
I must admit I was worried about the new character and how he would work,
but I must say I have been really surprised at just how good he is and how
it's revitalised the show. In some ways it could go on for another 5
seasons.
They do seem to be showing episode out of order in the UK, we have just
seen 'Sight Unseen' but Smoke and Mirrors doesn't show until Christmas
Week. SKY ONE are usually much better at showing things in order than
that.

So far as I can see all we have left is Stargate and Smallville[..]
I'm told Odyssey 5 has been renewed [..]. I'm told Andromeda has
been cancelled but don't know if that is true or not.
Andromeda was renewed for both the third (aka current) and forth
season at the same time. Given the way this season is going with
the new head writer, alot of people aren't quite sure what to
expect from the fourth season though. From what I've heard ratings
have dropped which isn't a suprise since they switched to more
action and less plot. (the fact that they keep throwing plot bits
into the episodes without trying to fit them together or aren't
even followed thru in the same episode doesn't help.) It's a shame
since it had been so much better before they changed writers and
focus.
And to tie this back to Highlander, there was a HL alum on the
show again. Geordie Johnson who was on Raven was on Andromeda two
weeks ago. (His character, his accent and the episode were a mess
though.) I'm not sure which Raven episode he had been in. I think
he was a thief who wanted Amanada to help him steal something.
I vaguely remember him having something to do with a motorcycle
that Nick later got but I'm not sure about that. I haven't
watched any Raven episodes since they originally aired so I may
be mixing them up.

Well, you could argue that it must be an alternate world
'historical' movie (and therefore SF/Fantasy) as the
princess Wallace has an affair with in the movie was
a child of about 9 years old in our RL history
;-)

Nope, it's not cancelled - changed beyond recognition
but not cancelled. (it's now in improved Sorbo-vision
instead)

The Season 6 changes did not ultimately please Sci-Fi, and they not only have
Daniel Jackson returning full time for every episode in Season 7, but Jonas
is being relegated back to recurring status. Shanks is even getting to write
one of the episodes, so his negotiated return must have had some nice terms
attached. No doubt, the fan campaign to have him return, including full-page
ads in Hollywood Reporter, Variety etc. and an unrelenting call/write
campaign probably didn't hurt, either.

<Waves at Heidi!!>
Huh, I have that ep of Andromeda in my car (borrowed from a friend), I
think!!
In the six-degrees-of-Kevin-Bacon-sense <heehee>, you can further tie Geordie
Johnson to Highlander (kinda <g>), in that Geordie starred as Dracula (A.
Lucard) in Dracula: The Series, which had Geraint Wyn Davies as a recurring
(hilarious, IMHO) character, then Geordie guest starred in Forever Knight
twice with Geraint Wyn Davies ("My Boyfriend is a Vamprie" Season 3, ep # 6,
and sorry, brain freeze on the other FK ep), then Ger was in an episode of
Highlander with Adrian Paul second season (Ger was Michael Moore/Quentin
Barnes in "Turnabout," yeah, no kidding, duh BL!!), Highlander generated The
Raven, and Geordie was in that as Victor Hansen, in "The Devil You Know,"
episode 11, I believe (just looked at my boxed set).
I know that doesn't work perfectly, but it works for me, LOL.
Hope you all are well and have wonderful Holidays!
Forever Peace,
Billie-Lee (who lurks a lot these days still)

Either that, or HMV's been smuggling something.
(that's supposed to be a joke, in case some people out
there couldn't tell)

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Now if only they can do something about canceling
that Tremors series....
WB canceled Birds Of Prey and I thought it was good...even for a show
focusing on the males in the audience. I had Shamar Moore for a little
*eye candy*. Now everyone is hoping he returns to Daytime (Young and
the Restless) .

I don't always agree with the Sci-Fi channel's taste. :-) I was hearing
all of the stuff coming from the US, but I must say this season has been
very good much better than I had hoped for.
>> and they not only have Daniel Jackson returning full time for every

I understood he was only returning for more than he was in season 6. I
must say I'm not liking the sound of this - can you say shower scene.
>> but Jonas is being relegated back to recurring status. <<
That's a great shame and a dreadful thing to do to Corin Nemec. Why can't
they both be around.
>> Shanks is even getting to write

Before I jump up and down I'll wait to see if his writing is any good.
