It would help to know who performed the song to begin
with. It's probably on the movie's end credits, if
you have it (silly qualifier, I know, but I must
      include everything).

They're called "The Original Series Scores", and come
      in two volumes.

What the...? Okay, I'm stumped on this one. Can
someone elaborate and let us know what the heck this
      is?

How cool to see him on the first part of the new TZone tonight. I
think it's called "Harsh Mistress"; he plays a guy scouting for new
rock guitar talent. I can't think of anyone better to play the role,
      that's for sure.

      Wendy--
      >>> I think they paired up Nick and Amanda way too soon. I'd have liked to
see 10-12 episodes where they were mostly adversarial with only a slow
dawning that they were (or could be) on the same side of some things - and
even then it should have taken a long time before they were comfortable
together. I'd have liked to see them face a powerful physical attraction
      while still "enemies".>>>

I'd have liked to see a scene between those 2 where something seemed to be
going on _other than_ the actors struggling not to wrinkle their noses in
disgust. I won't use the C word, because it's not that something seemed
lacking. EG & PJ seemed to actively dislike each other. It was just one of
      many problems w/ Raven.

      Jen--
      >>>(the rest of it was...well...not quite as impressive)(but better
      than Queen of Swords)>>>

Hardly a ringing endorsement. QoS had some _egregiously_ bad aspects. And
then there was Tracker.... So many disappointments.

      Jette--
      >>>Seems like *they'd* decided against a second season before the first
      season even aired.>>>

It certainly _sounds_ like DPP's typical "they done us wrong" whine, but I
really don't remember that re: Raven. "They" who?

      >>>it was every bit as good as the first season of Highlander - better
      even in some respects.>>>

I disagree, for several reasons, but mostly casting & the whole HL Light
idiocy. AP & AV were an intriguing pair from the start, & the early eps
showed enough of DM's past & present to catch the inagination. HL:TS caught
fire pretty quickly. Raven, on the other hand, didn't seem to try to
intrigue viewers w/ anything re: Amanda's history or Immortality in general.
Raven had no ep comparable to Band of Brothers, as far as a turning point or
indication of how good it could be.

And, remember that Raven had a HUGE advantage over HL:TS, in that so much
was already in place. Amanda & EG, a rabid TV fan base, all the HL canon,
DPP's (ridiculous) international business structure, 6 years of series
experience in Canada & France, some of the writers & crew, oodles of guest
actors, the HL:TS clip vault, etc. HL:TS had only HL1 to draw on, & to some
extent that was a problem rather than a help since the series had to sell AP
as Duncan, in place of CL as Connor, AND convert everythng from epic movie
scale to TV drama scale. And yet Raven promptly crashed & burned. What a
      waste.

I wonder if you mean Mysterious Circle. That's a style of Spanish sword
fighting; opponents stay w/in a tight circle& follow certain other rules of
combat. The ep Duende featured it, along w/ Flamenco dancing. Sword-master
Anthony DeLongis has spoken & written at length about the Mysterious Circle
in mag articles & at cons, etc. The Under the Kilt commentary for Best of
HL's Duende has ADL & McAsh discussing it & doing demos.

      Why I didn't like Raven:

It was mostly a cop show and NOT a show about Immortals. They completely ignored Duncan MacLeod. That Wolf (male lead) guy didn't quite fit the bill, imo.
