Finally caught the Dead Zone premiere ep on USA Network last night & found
it mildly interesting, though certainly not on a par w/ other cable genre
shows running 1st-run eps now, like Farscape or even Witchblade.

Must be filmed in Canada--Anna Hagen (briefly) plays the lead's mother; of
course, she also played Mary MacLeod in a few HL:TS flashbacks.

Absotively. Did you notice the hospital was the same white building used for
the Quentin Barnes scenes in HL:TS ?

      Hi everyone,

That darn hospital that shows up in canadian movies or television serie ...
oh the service in there .... of course, it being that darn canadian
      hospital :)

The elder lady in need of care in Canadian soil took a cab to downtown
Montreal (that is a Canadian City) to the bus depot. From there she took a
shuttle to Mirabel Airport (that is a Canadian Airport - seen in HL3 and
posing for a New York City Airport) to enter a charter flight to Vancouver
(another Canadian City). Of course, the flight took her to Ottawa first
(... you got it ... Canadian City) to pick more elderly ladies in need of
well known Canadian hospital .... and by the time the plane pilot let her
disambark , it was 8 hours past the time she left her home ... and she was
still nowhere near that darn Canadian Hospital....

      Oh well ....

p.s. The Sum of our Fears ... wondering how come you did not recognise
Canadian famous landscape according to HL know-it all of Canadian famous
landscape. Mario movie , is hitting the Movie Network next week . But it is
still playing in some theatre here. Who is Mario ? and whose actors are in
it ? (hint - Savage Messiah is a darn good hospital ... oups I meant to say
      clue!)

      p.p.s. Tigidou et à la prochaine ....

That would directory Mario Azzopardi and the movie would be "Savage
Messiah" but since the IMDB says it's a french-language movie I doubt
that it will be available down here in the US any time soon. As to the
actors I don't recognize any of the names though Kyra Azzopardi as
"Alinne" sure does look like there's a bit of nepotism on this
film. <g> She's also in Dinotopia, a tv series that Mario
directs. What's her relationship to Mario?

Well then the IMDB is wrong. It is an Ontario/Quebec co-production.

Ontario is an English speaking province and Quebec .. well it is not !

The movie was shot in English as Mario and the Ontarians actors do not
      speak any French.

It was never meant to be release at the theatre but a decision by Astral
(the distributor) made them do it. It was dubbed in French - the Quebec
actors dubbed themselves but the others actors were dubbed by others Quebec
actors. It is a made-for-television movie. With absolutely no HL alumni
whatsoever (except for its director of course!). So it is possible for a
Canadian actors not to have gone through HL and still make a living MDR !
The movie was not shot in Vancouver either ... but in Montreal, part of the
east suburbans and parts of Ontario ...
