A brief, but interesting, academic article Donna Cromer
wrote based on the results of a survey she designed is at:

      http://www.unm.edu/~dcromer/Fandom.html

It is based on data Donna gathered from denizens of the ATH,
ATXF, and RAST newsgroups. She presented it at a conference
      last month.

Although Donna states that the number of respondents was too
low for it to be really conclusive vis a vis other internet
forums, I found it interesting that some of the things I've
observed myself seem to be accurate, particularly about the
sense of community which develops and the degree to which
our virtual spaces come to feel like real places to us.

Please feel free to pass along this information to anyone who might be
      interested.

Leah Rosenthal now has a special cartoon site for her Stargate cartoons:

      http://ashtonpress.ma-at.net/startoons.htm

I am going to be updating the main Artwork site and the Highlander cartoon
site (and moving it) sometime this weekend. Hopefully, I'll be setting up the
sites for Blakes 7 cartoons and her Buffy/Angel, X-Files, and other cartoons,
as well (they'll all be linked from the main Artwork site:
      http://ashtonpress.ma-at.net/artwork.htm)

Stay tuned, also, for an announcement about a new Highlander fanzine about to
debut *and* Leah has done some fantastic new Stargate cartoons that she's
hoping to finish up this weekend!
