Just want to pop in with my nickel's worth. Duncan never ever gives up.
Okay, well, he sort of did in "To Be or Not To Be", but only in sacrifice
for Joe and Amanda. >>
I understand your view, it equals mine. As Duncan would not give up, neither
would Connor. That's why Endgame rang so untrue to the character, and it was
a slap in the face to us all.

LOL also... just think, when it comes out next month on DVD or video, we
can
use this Guide at *home* and not have to worry about driving home! <g>

You have already begun a boycott of a DVD that has not been released
yet? How can you not buy something that is not available?
-Debra >>
We are beginning advanced efforts to inofrm people before it becomes
available. If enough economic pressure is put on tptb they will comply. We
are asking that they 1. give us a film in which Connor has an appropriate
exit (ie into the sunset) and 2. that they issue with that DVD a formal
certified statement that this new version is canon and that was was released
in theatres should be forgotten.

I think we can expect (& understand) heightened security for TPTB at cons &
other events. >>
This is a low blow at our movement and I expect better of this list. The
consequences I spoke of are economic. It is the greatest weapon we, as a
fanbase, have.

Dear List:
FYI if you have not seen Lance's posts on other ng's--
the following are "claims" that Lance has made on other lists that have
been shown
to be false, inaccurate, or otherwise *untrue*:
-the "march" of "thousands" of Connor fans that supposedly occurred in
Dec. at the "offices" of DPP, and the "meeting" with DPP he supposedly
had with "TPTB" that day (and the badly-doctored photos he posted as
"proof" of this supposed march that are actually pics from the 99 WTO
demonstrations in Seattle)
-the "assault" on "Peter Veneem" at a "sit-in" at a local (to "him") tv
station (and, of course, the subsequent "surgery")
-the "Conostrium" or "Cosonsrtium"<g> and its supposed "members" (all are
traced back to the same computer
as Lance) (oh, and the consortium's "unforgiving" lawyers and other
"enforcers" who will "come after you" if
you go against "them", see above, the "consequences should they fail to
meet our expectations")
-the *weeklong* "SaveCon" convention he is supposedly having in New
Orleans Feb. 15-22 (formal ball included)
(as Ginger Buchanan put it on ATH: "There was no meeting, there was no
beating.")
and on the other side, to the extreme of ridiculous *but* true, he *did*
hold a "cyber-trial" of Gillian Horvath since
she was involved in the storyline/writing of the movie that resulted in
Connor's death
I am stating this just so we all know who/what we are dealing with when
we respond to him, and so you won't be shocked/appalled/surprised at
anything when he starts posting about them, and you can take them "with a
grain of salt"

The boycott of an unreleased DVD goes well with the non-existant
Consortium with fake members, the non-existant meetings with DPP, the
non-existant march with faked pics, and the con the hotel supposedly
hosting it has never heard of.

Lance has been doing it over on alt.tv.highlander for a few months now. I
was surprised it took him so long to start it over here. It gets quite a
reaction from newbies who see it for the first time. However, I think most
people on this list recognize flamebait when they see it.

Usually I just ignore this thread, but I must say that the terms and
conditions as stated above gave me the biggest belly laugh I have had in
years. I'm not talking a giggle or a chuckle here list-mates, but a rolling
on the floor, tears in my eyes, laugh till it hurts kind of a
thing.............Thank you Lance!!!

I even ordered it as an excuse to have a regional PWFC get-together.
It's $29.99 plus shipping, and they claim it will arrive in 4-6 weeks.
Of course, that's 4-6 Fusion weeks...
Jen (at least with the DVD I can skip from Methos scene to Methos scene
a lot faster...)
>>
Jen, It is also available for pre-order from Amazon. com for $20.99, with a
first day ship of February 20th by priority mail which would mean arrival
about the 23rd or 24th of February.............and no "Fusion time" to deal
with............just a thought.

Low blow?? Not so. Actually, you made an ambiguous statement that could be
construed by many as a threat. If you want to be clearly understood, then
speak clearly............

Lance, learn to edit. It's poor form to send 4k of quote so you can add 2

ROFLMAO!
I'll admit you had me fooled Lance. Until now I thought your goal was real
even if your claims weren't honest. Now I realize you've been joking all
along. That's the only possible explanation for the above statement.
