If you are in Canada, the reason is that season 1 doesn't have enough
      Canadian content.

Hope that's enough spaces. I finally got to see it this morning, even skipped work to do so. But, despite my long patience and willpower, I found out about Connor yesterday, after (stupidly) reading one of Marina's posts, even though it said 'Spoilers'. I didn't think it would have that big a spoiler in it. Anyway, went to the mall, and was told it wasn't starting there, after they said 'yes' last week, so I had to go rushing across town. Scored a poster though!

So I was prepared, and had tissues. I was surprised to see 9 other people in there, this being a weekday, school holidays almost over and 9am. Didn't stop me from commenting, squealing and bawling my head off though!

      Questions:
I'm going again (many times) so can y'all please tell me what mistakes/quirks/fun stuff, etc. I should look out for. I couldn't spot F. Braun McAsh, I didn't see any levitating swords, and where was the scene from the trailers etc. where Kell gets split into 2???????

That was a lot of naked flesh and heavy breathing (in the bedroom scene) for a PG-13, or am I becomming a fuddy-duddy? There wasn't that much more in HL3, and that was 16.

I also wasn't impressed with the special effects. Quickenings in the series were much more spectacular, and where do they come off having Connor's Quickening have the same 'amount of firepower' as the follower Kell took out in the antique store??!! I could also spot the fake backdrops from a mile away.

It still won't stop me from going again, and again, and again, until it leaves. It will probably only be on a week, and it's only at 1 cinema that I can get to. Do you think we'll get a directors cut for this?

We went to Sandton City, which had a queue right down the corridor,
as always, but the movie theatre showed Endgame wasn't filled up. At
least the audience who did go seemed to know what was going on and
weren't clueless. I think if one didn't have at least some familiarity
with the HL universe they wouldn't have the first clue as to what was
      going on.

I'm not going to go into detail as I'm sure I will just be rehashing
what others said all those months ago when I was avoiding spoilers
      like the plague, BUT:

I was all prepared to get choked up and start bawling over Connor's
death, since I had only read that he died, not how. I suppose I had
assumed that the bad guy (has Bruce Martin Payne *ever* played a
good guy in a movie?!) killed him. Imagine my surprise/shock when
we got a virtual rehash of the scene from "Methos"! And when Duncan
said, "I love you, Connor," I melted. If Connor had to die, then
this was definitely the way to do it.

Which one did you go to? The Wheel? There are only two in Durbs that
are showing it. I have a movie theatre two k's from my house and it's
not showing there. Had to drive 30 k's to Sandton to see it. At least
I went with a sympathetic person, my brother. :) Anyone who has a

I know I can--lousy editing, lousy editing, lousy editing, lousy editing,
lousy editing, lousy editing, lousy editing, lousy editing, lousy editing,
      lousy editing, lousy editing.

Not that there weren't other louse-like things at work, of course.

Other "fun" stuff to watch for (sort of in order)--

--The opening credits--w/ clan MacLeod tartan forming the background.
--HL1 alums Sheila Gish & Beattie Edney appearing, though briefly.
--Try figuring out whether Kell was a pre-Immie or already an Immortal as of
Connor's village flashback (have headache remedy available).
--See the scabbed-over scrapes on AP's hand, in DM's very 1st scene (the AM
      kata).
--Try to figure out where on the planet DM is living there (take more
      aspirin).
--Hear Methos say his 1st line in the film & note that it is identical to
      his 1st series line.
--Wonder why neither Methos nor DM is upset that an Immie BHd others on Holy
      Ground (finish off the aspirin).
--McAsh has no lines; he's very briefly in the Irish highwayman FB--he holds
      the horses.
--Don't blink, or you'll also miss the much-ballyhooed Edge appearance--as
      the main highwayman (unnamed).
--In Connor's room in the ruined loft, the period outfit DM fingers
nostalgically is the one HE wore in the Verona flashback. Wonder if Connor
has a whole closet of DM's clothes someplace (you're out of aspirin; switch
      to booze).
--DM got married--try not to think about it.
--Try to figure out if Connor wanted DM to make Kate an Immie, or not
      (swig).
--In the loft fight, the soon-to-be-dead Carlos says to DM--"I SAID I was
gonna cut you." Unfortunately, he had NOT said that.
--Note that most of Kell's flock aren't given names, nor is the Sanctuary
      Watcher dude.
--Look for the director onscreen (he's the Watcher/monk who shines the
      flashlight in captive DM's face).
--Squirm over the glowing nose goop injection.
--Look at the map Joe's Watcher computer shows for DM's kills--nothing at
all in the NW area of the US. Hmmm.
--See HL1's Silvercup sign as Methos drives DM to the cemetery.
--See/hear Kell playing "Bonnie Portmore" on the harmonica (during the same
      drive).
--Wonder how come DM goes to a cemetery to "see the body" of a buried
person--w/o taking along a shovel (more booze).
--See London's new Millennium Dome. (Faith's studio & DM walking around
were filmed there--the 1st film to shoot inside it).
--Hear Faith blaming DM for her not having kids (booze again).
--Look for AP's brother (he's on the credits as "photographer").
      --AP's butt--always fun.
--Kate's locket--it lives! (In the sex scene, she suddenly has it, leaving
w/ it around her neck.) Since he had it after the wedding night fiasco,
wonder if AP kept it on his person at all times since then or had it express
mailed to him from storage after seeing her in the loft--just so he could
handily return it to her (off-camera).
--Wince when DM says "The difference between Connor & I" at the elevator.
--In the Connor/DM rooftop fight, wonder how much they got paid to feature
the JVC sign so prominently. Also note the Christmas tree. And wish the
      dialogue were better.
--None of the supernatural powers crap for Kell in the 3rd trailer made it
into the final cut, leaving us w/ a villain who is SAID to be really, really
bad--but not bothering to SHOW us that he is (lots more booze).
--Wonder why Kell had his shoes decorated.
      --Wonder why Kell talks funny.
--Try to figure out if Kell's lair is Holy Ground, too (finish off the
      bottle).
--Kell's Last Supper scene--note all the wine & bread. Also, wonder what
happened to the flockees who aren't shown BHd.
--As to the final fight--see that Kell & DM are clearly down in the bowels o
f the building, then suddenly are fighting high over the city--poof! (too
      bad--you're out of booze)
--Wonder what moron is responsible for all that horrid morphing of faces.
--Wonder how come, after all that struggling, DM was suddenly able to BH
      Kell.
      --Laugh at the huge & hokey star shining in the heavens as Kell's Q ends;
hope very much it wasn't supposed to symbolize Connor smiling down on DM
      from Zeist.
--Laugh at the terrible matte painting used for the Scotland background in
      the final scene.
--Note the Peace emblem on the collar of DM's shirt there.
--Say--"That's it?!" when it's all over. Hit something.
--Count the "Adrian" names in the final credits--total is in the double
      digits.

Don't drive home--you're drunk (& out of aspirin).

That's definately an editing problem. The scene with him holding it
in the rain was BEFORE he gave it to her - he was *dedicating* it.
She ran off with it round her neck next morning when she awoke.
(it was daylight when she awoke, it was dark when he was holding
      it up to the moon)

Also, if I am not mistaken, she had it on *before* she went to see Duncan at
      the hotel...
I am pretty sure that's the way it was when I saw it the 2nd or 3rd or 4th
      time (whichever
time it was after I read here or another ng about the ?s about the whereabouts
      of the
necklace and I tried to make a point of looking for it)... at first I thought
      he had
given it to her after they made love at the hotel (after the first time I saw

the movie), but then I remember seeing it on her in modern times before that
      scene...
it was kinda not that noticeable because of those kinds of necklaces she was
      wearing...
