An energetic romp with dazzling special effects and a surfeit of
sword-swinging action, Highlander: Endgame continues the epic saga of
immortal Scottish warrior Connor MacLeod. The title character -- created in

known best as the star of the successful Highlander television series. As the
film opens, a bitter, disillusioned Connor retreats to the hidden sanctuary
where battle-weary immortals seek seclusion when they tire of "the game" -- a
flip abbreviation for hunting down and decapitating other immortals. The

Another episode featuring a relatively "young" Immortal that Amanda came across just before they *became* Immortal. Was she "destined" to be their teacher..and skipped out of the job? Who found Fielding after the battle in WWI and told him what he was? Who showed him the rules? Who let him keep that silly doughboy uniform he ends up wearing ?

      *************
      The Unknown Soldier

Most of the Eurominutes are made up of an expanded flashback of Amanda's first meeting with Fielding.

American: We see soldiers running, battle scene, men on horseback thundering about and then the American camp. A soldier is talking on the field telephone "We need it right now" . Amanda comes around the corner of a tent, leading a horse. She sees the General exit a tent and proceed to give Fielding his orders (and the jewels."

Euro: We see soldiers running, battle scene, men on horseback thundering about and then the American camp. A soldier is talking on the field telephone "We need it right now" A very young soldier is leading a horse. He comes around a corner and encounters Amanda in her peasant mode.

Soldier: "You there! Mademoiselle. What are you doing here? All civilians have been evacuated."
Amanda: <in a thick incomprehensible "French" accent. She is carrying a basket.> "Oh , monsieur. I am zo zorry. I did not know.<unintelligible> whiskey? You're thirsty? Perhaps you buy? <unintelligible..the price maybe?>"
      Soldier: <flustered>No. You can't... I mean...you're not allowed here."
Amanda: "But it's homemade. From <she searches for the word> le pomme..how do you say?....apples? From the apples of my own farm."
Soldier: "You have to leave this area. It's too dangerous."
Amanda:"But I squeezed le pomme myself. Very ripe they were too. And juicy."
Soldier: <weakening under the force of Amanda sexuality <gag>:"I'm sorry. I have my orders."
Amanda:" What are orders compared to the fruits of nature? <heaves her chest at him> I just want you to sample my fruits. <uncorks bottle> Just a drink between friends. Even in war, man needs a friend. How long has it been since you've had a friend?"
      Soldier: "I guess it couldn't hurt." <takes bottle>
Amanda:"Oh monsieur! You've made me very happy!"
      Soldier: "One drink."
      Amanda:"Yes, one healthy drink."
      <soldier drinks >
      Amanda: "Refreshing, no?"

      <soldier looks "funny"..passes out.>

Amanda:<no French accent> "Unconscious, yes? Adieu sweet prince. You keep the basket <sets it down by him> I'll take the horse."
      .
She leads the horse away. Amanda comes around the corner of a tent, leading a horse. She sees the General exit a tent and proceed to give Fielding his orders (and the jewels."

Scene 2: The police station. Nick, Lucy and Amanda in Magnus' office after Fielding has refused to ID Amanda..and after they pull guns on each other in front of the police station. Magnus has tried to get Nick or Amanda to talk..he finally turns his attention on Lucy. She acts as if she will help but instead of answering his questions she continues to do her crossword puzzle.

      American:
Lucy:" You wouldn't happen to know a three letter name for a palindromic diarist?"
      Magnus: <standing by Lucy> "Screw all of you. <moves to Amanda> Don't even smile!" <Magnus leaves room>
Nick <to Lucy>:"Nin. As in Anais Nin.
      Lucy:"Thanks! Yes!"

      Euro:
Lucy:" You wouldn't happen to know a three letter name for a palindromic diarist?"
Magnus: <standing by Lucy> "Screw all of you..I'm bringing in the witness. <moves to phone on desk. Picks up receiver> "Chapman?" <holds phone away from mouth and yells>"Where the hell is Chapman!?" <hangs up and heads for door>
       Magnus:"Don't even smile!" <Magnus leaves room>
Nick <to Lucy>:"Nin. As in Anais Nin.
      Lucy:"Thanks! Yes!"

Magnus stomps through the police station . He arrives at an interrogation room and yells "Chapman!". <no response> He opens the door . Chapman is on the floor, mostly unconscious. "Jeez., Chapman," Magnus hurries over and helps Chapman to sit.

Chapman:"This is NOT a good day!!"
Magnus" Damn it!" <bangs fist on cabinet.>

Scene 3. Nick has taken Fielding to the graveyard. Amanda arrives. Amanda and Fielding go off to talk. Finally , we have:

      American:
Fielding:" You killed 120 of my brothers. It's time you honored those deaths."
He walks away and Amanda goes back toward Magnus' grave. Cut to Amanda standing alone at grave.

      Euro:
Fielding:"You killed 120 of my brothers. It's time you honored those deaths."
He walks away and Amanda goes back toward Magnus' grave. Nick is waiting there.
      Amanda:"That's over."
      Nick:"Just like that?"
      Amanda:"Just like that."
      Nick:"Lift?"
      Amanda:"No. I think I need a little time ."

Nick looks concerned but turns and walks away. Cut to Amanda standing alone at grave.

      Scene 4:The tag.

American. At the very end, Amanda and Nick walk away. We follow until they enter the shadows of the nearby trees.Fade out.

Euro. We follow them all the way into the trees. The camera pulls back until we are looking at the sky through tree branches. Fade out.
