The 21st is also the date shown for Duncan's birthday on the HL
calendar. So... whether it's the correct day of the solstice or not, if
the HL PTB have set the 21st as the day, then the 21st it is. :-)

Today is my grandson's birthday, too. :-)

I absolutely adore the diversity of this list ... <g> Up here in my
California "Sierra Nevada Highlands" (Lake Tahoe) it's beautifully
clear & cold, 27 degrees (F) out, there's five feet of snow in my
yard, some gorgeous icicles growing from my roof (one's over 3 ft
long!), another snow storm's on the way, as we prepare for weeks of
skiing, sledding, snowball fights, long walks, warm fires and
wonderful dinners (w/much hot tea & toddies!) with family & friends
      to celebrate the holiday season.

      >Have a wonderful and safe Christmas season everyone.

I'll certainly second this - Happy Holidaze to all & Happy Birthday Duncan!

Gee, Rachel, you say that like it's a Good Thing. ;-) Here in the Midwest
US, I'm thankful that we've only hit freezing once so far and most daily
high temps have been in the upper 40s or low 50s. Yeah, it's unusual, but I
could live with this until next spring.

      Echoing the Holiday Good Wishes......

      Hugs,
      Jenni
