" le billet de loterie" (the lottery ticket) is a lovely France-Quebec
co-produced movie, shoot in Montreal in 1994. It had a deligthful story and
Alexandra was excellent, of course. She played a French woman who choosed
to come and live and study in Montreal; selling jewellry as a day job,
studying ethnology part time, actually doing sculpting , taking care of a
lovely trisomic girl , daughter of her boss. Strong character. Strong plot.
Good story.
"le placard" (the closet) is going to be released in Vancouver and Toronto;
do not know if it will be dub or subtitle. It is in the line of "Le diner
de con" (the dinner game) which was a huge hit and Cesar nominated and
winner ... and is excellent. Alexandra has a much bigger part in "le
placard" than she did in "le diner de con" and again she is excellent.
And Tracker will air on Space sometimes in the fall.

Wait, I missed that....is the series now being filmed in Toronto? And then
they finish in London?
Thanks,

------- as far as I know it was always set for Toronto filming, but I don't
think the London thing is set. According to Adrian in Columbus in July it
could be London or Australia or who knows where.

Popping my head up out of lurkerdom to let you know.....
This week on A&E they're doing a series of biographies related to the
"Planet of the Apes" franchise. Tonight (Thurs) they were profiling Helena
Bonham Carter.
One of the interviewees was our own "Heather," Beatie Edney. She appears
several times.
Usually these biographies are repeated later at night (altho' I haven't
checked the schedule for tonight), so maybe you can catch it then.
Hugs,
Jenni
