      Subject: Too damn quiet here

I know the lights haven't been turned off around here because I still
get the phantom bi-monthly messages from our dearly departed so-called
      leader.

What can we discuss that is vaguely Highlander related?

How about "Highlander: The Source" ?

Great movie. Action. Passion. Incredible story-telling. Oscar-quality
acting. What? You haven't seen it? Haven't heard a whisper of when (or
if) it will be released? You aren't trying hard enough. Close your
eyes. Let your mind run free. See it unfold.

      **************************
Scene 1: Scotland. The Highlands. Summer. Blue sky, a few high white
clouds. The sound of sheep and running water. The sound of a horse
approaching. We pull back to see Duncan McLeod of the Clan McLeod riding
along at an easy gallop. Period costume - - circa 1620. He's happy.
He's home. He crests a ridge and we see a village on a loch. Happy
people. A girl waves at Duncan and just as he starts to ride down to the
village there is a burst of blinding white light and then the shock
wave on an exploding atomic bomb. Duncan screams and

Scene 2: Duncan comes awake from his nightmare. It's night. We're not in
Scotland but in some burned-out ruined city somewhere cold. Duncan is
wrapped in several blankets and there is a small fire nearby. He is
alone but clearly expected someone to be there with him. He shakes off
the dream and stands up <gorgeous as ever> - jeans, dark sweater, heavy
      coat, long-ish hair.
      D: Methos?

Methos <O.S.> Here. Same dream as last time?

D: Almost. This time I was in Scotland and it was summer.

Methos <coming into view from behind a shattered wall> At least you were
      warm.

      Next?

Wendy(The real movie is apparently over-budget and in the hands of a
completion company hired to make sure no more money is wasted.)(How does
      a low-budget film go over-budget in Bulgaria?)(Or was it Romania?)(Isn't
that the whole point of filming in backwater countries?)(It's
cheap.)(Oh, wait.)(When things go wrong in backwater countries it costs
3x as much to fix as it does in the New World.)(Penny-wise and
pound-foolish seems to have taken hold.)(Can't wait to see what the
final edit looks like now that the film is out of the hands of those
who might have cared about the content.)(OTOH, can they do a worse job
than was done on Endgame?)(And this clearly sets up that Director's Cut
we all wanted to own just to complete the set.)
