I am still subscribed to the list, but hadn't really
been following it for quite a while (other fandoms
calling, moving from Princeton, NJ to Memphis, TN, and
then back up to Northeast PA in the span of a little
over a year, etc.). I've been reading the digests
just recently, though, and tonight stumbled upon:

Ah yes, the librarian who was a dead hooker, the (what
was Linda W. doing back then?) who was a dead
molecular biologist, and the molecular biologist who
was a regression hypnotherapist. My character
actually lived through the whole episode, though,
alas, that decreased the number of times they said my
name during the episode (called "Francesca," btw).
Continuing the trip down memory lane, an East Coast
Syndicon happened right after "my" episode of FK
aired, and the writer (Gillian Horvath) and director
(Nigel Bennett) were guests, so they showed the
episode and had a Q&A afterward (the rest of the con
was all HL guests). Later some random guy stopped me
by a Coke machine in the hotel to ask if I was "Lisa
Kadlec," and could I sign something or other because
his significant other was a huge FK fan. Bizarre.

And now I shall amble back to the Geezer Porch to
      reminisce with Julie (hi, Julie!)

Oh for heavens sake. An old synopsis based on the original draft script by
Soisson which Adrian Paul rejected and was then rewritten by Watkins and then
Briggs all of which Adrian Paul rejected as he called in David Abramowitz is
made to sound "real" and people are freaking out. As for me, I'm going to
withhold both my ire and my opinions until I've seen the movie.

Wow. Either someone is messing with our minds by putting out really bad
fanfic under the name "Bill Panzer" or Bill Panzer finally drank enough
to put holes in his brain. That synopsis can not be real. It has to be
either an old first draft done by Bill Panzer's cat or by someone who
      really really hates Highlander<eg>

I could handle Methos dying if the plot really warranted it. But dying
as just one of a group trying to assail a position seems so
      un-Methos-like.

      > Duncan is becoming mortal (apparently they were serious about that

Been there, done that. Connor became mortal. Didn't last.

      Nice. Full gagging circle!

      > *cue the series currently being pitched and the next two
      > movies also being planned*

I prefer the part where the "Source" (which is a column of light or a
disembodied voice)(Well, not really disembodied since it borrows the
voice of Duncan's mortal true love Katia )(The true love whose
disappearence robs Duncna of his will to live) created Immortals as a
gift to humans - since humans die too fast to accumulate real knowledge.
Immortals live many lifetimes and gain experience from Quickening and
can be a help to mortals. Guess someone should have mentioned that to
the Immortals - who seem pretty uninterested (as a whole) in helping
mortals. Not to mention that whole lack of access to the knowledge
"gained" in a Quickening and the whole TCBOO mentality that works
      against peaceful pursuit of knowledge.

The nice thing about having old drafts is that we can compare the draft
to the actual movie when it is released. Only then does one find out if
all the talk about "rejecting" old scripts is true or whether only
      tweaking occurred.

Some things have already changed ... Katia is now Anna. That's a major
change because no one named Katia in a HL movie could be good. The Rule
      of K's would apply.

      A) Some things seem to be the same:
      Duncan wandering a crumbling city.
      Duncan mourning a lost love.
A quest to find the Source.
      Monks.
      Dead Dawson.
      The Guardian guarding the Source.

      B) Things left in question is:
      Dead Methos?
      Column of liquid fire Source?
Actual benign reason for Immortals to exist?
      Duncan mortal?
      Duncan a dad?

Time will tell just how "off" this supposed synopsis is.

Wendy(I can't remember if the Immortal priest/cardinal and the grossly
old/fat Immortal were shown in tape in Leeds or not.)(If "yes", they go

      Hi
I have not read all the treads in this heading.as I am still in Scotland.
But for me going to cons and Carmel and committeee tours offfers me a chance to
meet Friends some I think as of family to go see places I would never see.
Its too bad others do not see it as that. Yes the Highlander factor is this.
But it the friends that I could never get to see if it was not for Carmel and
committee. I am forever greatful for that. I have meet a bunch of new friends
on the Scotland tour. I know the hard work the Carmel and commitee have done
to make this happen with out a hitch. I am thrilled that I can go on these
tours to meet new and old frioend. Its too bad people as so bitter because
other people are enjoying life with hundreds of friends. The con was wonderful
but the Scotland tour was outstanding. To witness Adrian be some relaxed with
the fans and really enjoy him self was a highlight. The trip from Leeds to
Glenfinnden will always be a great experence as we had quite an odyssey.

Are you going to take this lying down or come out of the closet and do something about this?! I'm not sure if your strategy (absence makes the heart grow fonder) is working. We'd better be careful not to let the TPTB at psu.edu know this is a "leaderless hell dimension" (or is that the Final Dimension) or they might chop our heads off!
