I'm thinking that this time when I go on holiday (Sunday
morning at Oh-Dark-Oh-Clock) I won't even need to go
no-mail.......... unless you all start having a fight or
      something <g>

Once again I'm left looking at one of Wendy's posts and wondering
what the heck is going on.

The love story between Duncan MacLeod and Dr. Anne Lindsay was a tale
of rare beauty and sensitivity. Despite Duncah's shabby treatment of
the good Doc, her devotion to him was unmatched, and the chemistry
      between the two was undeniable.

Anne's occasional forays into ethically questionable areas is not
unusual in the field of medicine. TV doctors seem unbelievably
stupid and downright shifty when it comes to medical ethics and loved
ones. Witness Abby Bartlet's undocumented treatment of her
presidential husband and participation in a conspiracy to hide his
medical condition from the public (West Wing). Sheesh. And all
Duncan was trying to hide were a few dozen severed heads. In any
case, Anne's giving Duncan the meds is completely understandable and
forgivable in the context of TV love, as is her foray at 9.5 months
of pregnancy into a dangerous explosion site with only a paramedic to
      help her.

Furthermore, The Blitz was possibly the finest and most touching
      episode of Highlander ever filmed.

I also contend that Tessa Noel was perhaps the most devious human
being on the planet, helping Duncan to hide his involvement in
numerous unexplained grisly murders. When Grayson came along, she
should have called the police. Instead, she helped Duncan conspire
      to do away with him.

      Hi

MY someone brings up Dr Anne and the old GEEZER gets up of her creaky
rocking chair dusts off the computer turns it on. Then somehow remembers all of us
      and the list and posts.
She forgot all about the Magic spring and left it to me to water all the
plants. I now have 12 ware houses full of carmels.

Why did I read this as "12 warehouses full of CAMELS"?

Granted, HL screwed up lots of stuff. Several early eps, nearly all of
season 6, & a few odd shows in between are all but unwatchable, except
through sentiment-colored fan glasses (or to fast forward for hunky AP
shots--always a valid endeavor). Anne, Charlie, & Maurice were all
waste-of-screen-time regulars. (Were only Immortals--& Tessa--allowed to be
vibrant, interesting & fun characters?) Many Immies passing through the
series were badly written &/or cast (Slan, Cassie, Annie Devlin, & I'm sure
there were others). Several storylines were unfortunate, wacky, or just not
right for Highlander. And, then there was AAA....

The difference, to me, is that HL:TS got right far more than it screwed up.
Most shows are content to do it the other way around, & that's usually
enough to buy them a couple seasons of mediocre existence. HL was rarely
mediocre; sometimes it reeked, but usually it was quite excellent.

Nina (& just having AP front & center helped cancel out lots of otherwise
glaring problems) (but even AP couldn't save Endgame)
