        1. Highlander animated movie trailer up (2)

Has anyone seen the trailer for the upcoming animated/anime
Highlander movie? It's on the offical site

I remember hearing they were going to do something quite awhile
ago but had figured it was just as unlikely as all the movie
and spinoff series they've talked about. But I guess direct-
to-dvd or online-only animated `movie' is a easy way to go.

And after a few thousand years, Colin MacLeod doesn't give a
        damn about virtue...

I wonder how far in the future it's set. If he's been around
`a few thousand years' are they going to imply he was running
around the Highlands the same time as Duncan, Connor, Kell,
old nut in the cave, and Warren C?

<<For the first time, the MacLeod katana blade will find itself
<<in the hands of a Japanese master.
Excuse me? Didn't the MacLeod katana start out in the hands of
        a Japanese master?

What was the backstory on Connor's sword? I remember Ramirez
telling him something about the man who made it but I don't
remember the details. Maybe they'll try to claim he as a
master at making but not actually using swords. More likey
they'll just ignore the whole thing. (and probably imply that
Connor and Duncan had the same sword.)

just how does someone named Colin MacLeod qualify as a "Japanese"
master? Oh yeah, this is so far in the future that nationalities
and "races" are obsolete - except that everyone is Japanese

I guess they'd use `I Think I'm Turning Japanese' as the theme song.

And in case you missed it ... Immortals fight robots and fly.

Are you serious? I didn't watch the clip but the whole idea
is so silly that even if you were joking, it could be true
      anyway.

      Heidi--

Ramirez told Connor he got his katana from a renown Japanese
      sword-maker--his 3rd & last father-in-law--named Masumuni, in 593BC. Not
that TPTB would remember that; they couldn't keep Holy Ground straight in
      Endgame.

Nina (on the positive side--at least it isn't Highlander: The Opera)
(speaking of HL1--maybe Methos mentored Ramirez--or, more likely, The
      Kurgan....)
