Against my better instincts I made the mistake of ordering from the HL
Store at their reduced price and with their "free shipping", even on
international orders. When I checked on the link in their confirmation
email, the price for the set may be $39-99 with no shipping, but there's
$25-00 "handling" charge. Talk about hidden charges, because it didn't
show on their website when I placed the order.

The Best Of set may not be available from Anchor Bay (yet), but if I had
known about the handling charge, I would have played wait and see. Mea
culpa, I guess. Just as well the exchange rate is good at the moment.

      Cheers and beers

That's interesting, because I did the same thing as you, and my
confirmation e-mail has handling at $0.00 and total due of $39.99. Of
course I've always been given the stinkeye by the list because my
dealings with the HL store have been universally positive...I'll take
the beer though...or a nicely aged Glenmorangie.

I purchased Season One from the Highlander Store and had no problem, except
that the packaging of the set is different from all the others. Still, that
makes it collectible, doesn't it? :-)

Seasons Two thru Five were purchased at either DeepDiscountDVD.com, or from
Best Buy. When I got the email that seasons 5, 6 and Best of were available
for $39.99 I decided the extras from Best Buy weren't really worth $20 so I
ordered Season 6 and the Best of set from Davis-Anderson Merchandising on 10/15 -
ONLINE. Expecting a long wait, I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email
today saying the 2 sets have been shipped and it provided a tracking number.
Arrival is estimated as 10/26. And they were definitely $39.99 each, with no
tax and no shipping. I verified that with my credit card company.

So, as long as they arrive when expected, I will be very happy. If not,
you'll hear from me again. :-)
