Hi all - does anyone here have all 6 HL Video sets for sale? My
sister-in-law is *finally* hooked on HL (better late then never) &
I'd like to get them for her for her birthday. I haven't really
looked on ebay or anything yet. I was hoping I'd have the DVDs by
now, but I don't yet, so I was hoping there'd be some old tape sets
out there that need a new home. :)

      TIA! Rachel

Thanks to all who replied (& still may?) - I will reply individually
when we decide (I need to powwow w/hubby when he gets home). I got
quite a few replies - and yes, we were looking for all 6 boxed
seasons, tho' that doesn't completely rule out (yet) a few who
      replied & have seasons 1-5. That's what I have, w/season 6 recorded
      off the TV.

I'm also tracking an auction on ebay for all 6 sets... it's still
under $100 (not by much tho'). :) I guess that's approx what we were
hoping to pay - $100 or so, plus shipping, of course. No huge rush,
as her birthday is Nov 2, but we do want to get it done fairly soon.
We'll probably have them sent straight to her in Arizona (we're in
CA) so we don't have to pay shipping twice.

      Thank you everyone! Rachel

      Hi
Best Buy has all the sets on dvd's for under $100 pretty close to $50.-#60.
The dvd's are far superior than the VHS tapes.

That's for each season. I think she's looking for all 6 seasons for about
$100. Also, season 6 won't be released on DVD until 11/9.

I do find it amusing that they list Highlander under General Horror.

That would be correct, siona. I will buy myself the DVDs before
anyone else! <g> Alas, I'm just a bit too broke this year w/health
problems & crummy RL stuff. Maybe next year. :)

I got so many replies that I will take up a smidgen more bandwidth to
say that I got all the sets. A wonderfully kind soul (thanks
Sharon!) from the HL worldwide list is sending me her sets for
postage costs. They are selling in the auctions though; there's one
closing soon on eBay for almost $100 (all sets), & I was told they're
going at amazon for $15-$30 a set - so if anyone does want to sell
their tapes it looks like there's at least a small market.

My sil will love this (even if we'd both rather have the DVDs). It's
going to be a big surprise; we're sending them to mil's to wrap. She
finally started watching HL with her son with SpikeTV reruns & they
have lots of discussions about HL (as did so many others) & it's life
      lessons, etc. :)

I tried to get her to watch HL back in the late 90s when I was doing
cons, working the PEACE table & stuff, but I guess she wasn't in the
right space then (tho' she definitely thought Adrian was DDG) and her
son was much younger. This will be the best present she's had in a
long time, and will benefit her son, Kyle too.

      Thanks everyone! Rachel
