Sorry he's not your cuppa.
I think he is brilliant. Affable and frightening at one time.
His reviews have been amazing. Here are just a few I found online.
**"Jeffrey Donovan is breathtakingly good in the leading role, as Detective
Dave Creegan"
**"Jeffrey Donovan steals the show as Creegan "
**"Jeffrey Donovan is a talented actor and makes Creegan very appealing; it's
hard to pull off a character this complex, but he's doing just fine, thank
you."
**"Donovan as the kind of nutty guy we immediately love, .............The
talented Donovan is joined by an able cast...."

OK, I could find twice as many saying he's a disappointment, were my
anal-retentive button pushed by this show like yours clearly is. Reviews
are like the Bible--available to support all sides. (There were positive
reviews of _Endgame_--only a few & obviously well-paid for, but still.)
Vera Farmiga is brilliant in Touching Evil--totally mesmerizing. She's
always the best thing about whatever show she is in, & I remember her as far
back as Roar opposite the delectible Heath Ledger. (She would have made a
super K'Immie.) Petey Wingnut (recalling a real Highlander connection after
all) was fabulous in his recurring role, & his tragic arc was outstandingly
written. Bradley Cooper as his "replacement" is less successful, I think.
A brave move after Alias, this edgier role doesn't seem to suit him, so far.
I hope Touching Evil gets a 2nd season, but there's certainly room for
improvement--particularly w/ Jeffrey Donovan's take on the lead role.

p.s. what on earth does the above mean? And since I am sure it is not a compliment :) why bother saying it? You are always asking for a *discussion* but can it not exist without vituperativeness?
