I don't think Amanda was the wrong character to use. I think the writers
who did Raven were the wrong writers to use. :-D The character had nothing
to do with it. It was the writers who gave her lots and lots of bad
storylines and dialogue. I think Liam Riley would have been able to save
      the show, too!!!

I agree. They gave us Amanda then made her very un-Amanda-ish. Not even
references to her "other" friends. I watched every episode, and it was better than
much that is on television. But............

Why not both parts, put back together? Come on, if they can bring
stupid-ass demons into the frelling show, they can resurrect my
      Richie!

Aside from Richie dying, I don't really mind the AAA arc either. It goes
on a bit long - could have been shortened to a 2-part episode, I feel -
but it's okay. At least we get to see Horton again, sort of (I like
Horton). The whole BREW thing is stupid - but then I'm with Wendy
on the whole "the concept of Immortals is enough, you don't need extra
weird stuff in the show" idea.

      >Nina (if you meant "Shut up, everyone." you should have said so)

      Naah.

(Besides, would you have even listened if I'd said, "Shut up, Nina?"
      Didn't think so. :)

      - Marina. (No, Julie, there is nothing wrong with dead hookers.) (At least
you didn't play with lab mice and then fall down the stairs.)

What does that mean? I'll probably be going "duh" once
it's answered, but I can't recall seeing that one
      before.

Mel (couldn't talk much on the Raven writing because
she never was interested enough to watch much of it.)

It's a combination of factors, but you're right; the foundation has to come
from good writing, followed closely by good casting/acting. It's a pity that
most network producers seem to have completely forgotten that in favor of
formuals to attract desired demographics for the advertisers.

BREW = Big Red Evil Whatever

It's the big bad from the AAA arc in the 6th season. Hard to explain. Don't
want to think about it too hard. It'll make my brain hurt.
