      That's advertising--not informing, & certainly not discussing.

No need to be concerned about my juices. And, ick.

And for very good reason, given the swill being churned out by the franchise
      since HL:TS season 5.

Gillian Horvath helped write Endgame, & it still reeked.

It doesn't matter WHO the writer is, since he/she has no control over the
final product. Going by their track record, DPP is sure to either 1) hand
final control over to idiots or 2) screw things up royally themselves (&
      blame "the suits").

Subject: OT: Stargate music theme in movie?

I had a request from a friend of my sister's but seeing as we are so far behind in Stargate and sci-fi mags here (South Africa) I thought I'd ask on this list, especially seeing as there are so many SG fans here. This is what he said:

I hear a lot of people mention Stargate here. I've been seeing promos
for a space movie (it almost looks like a send up type movie and I can't
remember the name of it). The theme music to the movie, at least in the
promos, is the theme to Stargate. If anyone is on Stargate lists some
where and has heard anything about this, would you mind emailing me?

So that's it. I would be curious to know myself. I plan to start buying the Stargate series on DVD soon, as we are obviously not getting them on tv in the near future. (We've seen up to season 3). If anyone has a set to sell, let me know, otherwise I'm e-Baying.

      Thanks!
      Tarryn

Hey, last I checked it takes two people to discuss and rumours that I talk
to myself are just plain untrue. Really? Yes.
So, people can quite happily speculate, comment and discuss as a group. I'm
      providing the impetus.

And haven't I always been the one to give a blunt review when I think it's
needed? I tore several strips off the sloppy, mismarketed and lazy Endgame
(and then a few more). I deconstructed The Raven. What I know of the
various The Source script developments isn't encouraging. So when I say
that, so far, all the pieces seem to be falling into place on this TV
project, then I have at least hope. But let's not Jonas Quinn the thing
      before it gets started!

Well I buy it anyway and would even without the Highlander coverage - it
doesn't have the same condescending attitude that so many magazines have.

W/ all-knowing-but-no-telling you tossing popcorn at us from the balcony?
No thanks. I really don't care any more, & it's a relief not to be invested
in HL; this time, the inevitable cock-up will be merely amusing rather than
      agonizing.

Nina (the HL "TV project" is a miniseries, by the way, but I'm sure they're
hoping for a series pick-up)(who knows--if Andromeda can continue to suck up
air time, there's no logic to anything tv-related) (Rob Lowe needs a
      job....& a haircut)
