      Extreme History with Roger Daltry
      Premieres: Sunday, Oct 5 @ 10:30pm ET/PT

      Surviving the Colorado River
Roger Daltrey, lead singer of the rock band The Who, takes viewers back in
time to experience the nitty-gritty, day-to-day realities of some of
history's great moments. Daltrey, an avid history buff, demonstrates the
challenges of surviving and in this episode takes on the mighty and muddy
Colorado River in a replica of the boat used by one-armed Civil War veteran
Major John Wesley Powell, who, along with 9 men, charted the river in 1869.
Roger also climbs one-armed along the 500-foot-high river walls! TV PG-L

About Extreme History with Roger Daltrey: "EXTREME HISTORY with Roger
Daltrey" is fast-moving, entertaining and information-packed. Each week,
Roger meets a team of experts on location who show him historical techniques
for survival including how people navigated extreme terrain, weathered harsh
climates, and survived on what they could kill or gather. Along the way, the
viewer learns about the historical event and gets a very real sense of what
      life was like back then.

I got the word on it from Holyground forum a couple
weeks back and I'm going to watch tonight.

I keep getting a funny mental image...If they ever
have a European one from the right time period, I
won't be able to watch without halfway expecting to
hear "Actually, believe it or not...I was there." Hey,
an Immie *would* make a great history teacher when you
      think about it LOL.
