I'm inclined to agree that Mac probably would've
ripped into him if he hadn't had the pregnant
      girlfriend.

sure there were others, I just don't remember or
      haven't seen them yet.

Line of Fire...man was he angry in that one. And with
      good reason.

Ack! Sorry, mixed up Line of Fire and Under Color of
Authority. I had the right guy, but he wasn't a bounty
hunter. Eh, with six seasons, it's probably not all
that hard to get eps mixed up.

Plus, she knew she'd have a very greatful Dunkiepoo on her hands (and
other body parts, presumably) who was anxious to thank her for being

that has been ripped off its foundation and dropped back onto it? What did
      *that* cost to fix???>>>

Not to mention what those 3 doggies did in what I assume was the guest

      >>> I was always a little embarrassed for Adrian. There was no good reason
he had to be quite so exposed. It was too....intimate. Seeing him in bed
pretending to make love to someone is less "intimate" than having him walk
      around in his undies.>>>

I agree but, Wendy, did you SEE Tracker? All the staggering around like
Frankenstein's-monster-in-briefs nearly put me off AP altogether... or at
least off AP in his nearly altogethers.... Apparently, AP CANNOT be
embarrassed, in that way at least. For me, the couple HL tub scenes were
far more erotic than the admitted eyeful of recently mauled DM we saw in
      LotP.

      >>> And the Duchess was so...awful. I didn't believe she was English or a
      Duchess.>>>

I know, but it's fun seeing Rachel Hayward do that, & recalling her very
different (& much better) Delilah in S5's End of Innocence. And her VERY
different role in AP's film Convergence (though I wasn't paying that much
attention to HER in most of those scenes).

Gillian Horvath has written that the extended FB showing RR's revival was
filmed during Counterfeit, then held over a full season until the perfect ep
finally came around for it. Since CF was filmed in Paris, it was tough
getting matching clothing, props (including the T-Bird), etc. You can tell
      Tessa's hair is different.

It always bugs me that when he goes for the run in the park, DM leaves the
T-Bird unlocked, w/ the window down & his precious katana inside.

Ditto. The exasperation wasn't so forced. Kit was a fabulous Immie, & it's
nice to see that DM has some fun folks in & out of his angst-ridden life.

      > >but I have one little question: Why'd
      > > Amanda let him win the horse? I didn't get why.

      She'd do anything--other than 100% reform--to make DM happy. And I'm sure
he made it worth her while.

      > > Mel, pondering that 'Buzz allergy' of Kit's

The actor--Nicholas Campbell--came up w/ the sneezing bit (half-way through
filming, so they had to add some in ADR later to even it out), & I found it
charming. Of course, it would get old fast in a recurring character.

The flashbacks were wonderful--classy, lush, exotic--perfect Highlander.
Even the intro set in Macao _felt_ right. Director Mario Azzopardi played
the nasty Count, in the flashback poker game.

      Eurominutes-Courage

Here are the scenes that are in the foreign version of "Courage" but not in the original domestic version. The rest of the time not used by these scenes was made up by more verses of Cullen singing "Oh Danny Boy" and by a few more pans of the opium den.

      1) This first one is just an added couple of seconds when Cullen is brought into the E.R.

INT. HOSPITAL - CORRIDOR OUTSIDE EMERGENCY ROOM - SAME TIME

An ORDERLY wheels in one more gurney with Cullen on it. He reaches the door to the Emergency Room, looks through it. There's no room.

                                  ORDERLY
(to the unconscious Cullen) Parking lot's full, man. I'll tell 'em you're here.

He parks the gurney by the wall outside the door, takes the chart off the foot and goes inside.

      2) This is the extended version of the "Trees, trees, trees" scene while they're driving through the Alps.

       EXT. MOUNTAIN ROAD - SWITZERLAND - 1810 - DAY

A HORSE-DRAWN CARRIAGE moves through a high forest overlooking
       stretches of pristine alpine meadow.

                                  MACLEOD
I spy with my little eye, something beginning with the letter A.

                                  CULLEN
                    A... these Alps.

                                  MACLEOD
                       (laughing) No.

                                  CULLEN
They're getting on my nerves, Duncan. How long before we get to France?

                                  MACLEOD
Another day. Sit back and enjoy the scenery.

                                  CULLEN
Scenery? Trees, trees, and trees. What the hell do these Swiss do for excitement?

                                  MACLEOD
                       (dry) They build cuckoo clocks.

                                  CULLEN
Aye, they would... but I have something better.

He draws a silver flask from his coat, offers a mocking toast and takes a swig. MacLeod looks doubtful.

                                  MACLEOD
You got that at the inn?

                                  CULLEN
(cheerfully) Any port in a storm, Duncan. At least it's cognac.

MacLeod takes it, has a swig -- grimaces.

                                  MACLEOD
                    Barely.

There is an alarmed SHOUT from the Driver -- the carriage LURCHES to a hard stop, throwing them around.

                                  KELLEY (O.S.)
                    Brian Cullen.

Then the scene continues as in the U.S. version.

       3) There were just a few extra lines in the scene where Duncan takes Anne to breakfast.

       EXT. WATERSIDE CAFE - DAY

                                  ANNE
Easy to say. Not so easy to do. (beat) Especially when you lose them.

She shakes her head. MacLeod takes her hand. Anne reacts warmly.

                                  MACLEOD
(beat) Sometimes you have to let them go.

       Anne looks into MacLeod's eyes.

                                  ANNE
They're all so fragile. One nut with a gun... One drug addict behind the wheel and they're gone...(beat) Like that bus accident yesterday. They found amphetamines all over the son-of-a-bitch's car.

4)This scene was deliberately written as an "E" scene -- a scene that could be dropped from the European version with no impact on the plot. It goes at the beginning of Act Three, right before Duncan enters the loft to find Cullen snorting up.

       INT. DOJO - DAY

Richie's moving to MacLeod as he enters the Dojo.

                                  MACLEOD
                    What's up?

                                  RICHIE
Your friend Cullen's upstairs. I had to get him out of the Dojo. (off MacLeod's look) Don't worry, Mac, we didn't fight. (beat; disgusted) The guy's higher than a kite.

                                  MACLEOD
                    I'll take care of it.

MacLeod starts inside. Richie puts a hand on his arm, stopping him.

                                  RICHIE
What's the deal, Mac? This guy... He doesn't seem like your type.

                                  MACLEOD
                    He needs help.

Richie shrugs. He clearly doesn't think Cullen is worth bothering with.

                                  RICHIE

       6) This last piece was between Cullen and Harry the Drug Dealer right before Cullen takes his van and kicks him out of the warehouse.

       INT. WAREHOUSE - NIGHT

Cullen is a scary-looking sight. Haunted eyes, unshaven, clothes torn and muddied from the fight. He waits, a dark figure in the shadows, as a battered van pulls up.

Harry the Drug Dealer gets out of the van, grabs his battered army knapsack full of stuff, pockets the keys.

He turns to find Cullen standing right behind him. Jumps three feet.

                                  HARRY
(trying to be cool)Whoa, man, you're a very scary guy.

                                  CULLEN
                    Sorry.

                                  HARRY
You need some more stuff, right?

                                  CULLEN
                    Right.

                                  HARRY
I have crystal meth. I've been savin' it just for you.

He fumbles a vial out of his bag. Cullen takes it, snorts most of the contents, and turns back to Harry.

                                  CULLEN
                    What else you got?

There's a level of mania here we haven't seen before -- and neither has Harry. He backs away nervously.

                                  HARRY
                    There's no more, that's it.

Cullen's charged, full of energy and misdirected anger. He grabs Harry, hauls him toward him.

                                  HARRY
                    No.

       Right in his face:

                                  CULLEN
                    I need more.

and the scene continues like the American version

That's a goof. Venus Terzo played the dog kennel owner, Valerie Meech. She
has guested in Dead Zone, Andromeda, Da Vinci's Inquest--most of the
      Canadian series.

Rachel Hayward played the Duchess in LotP, as well as Delilah in End of
Innocence. She also shows up in most of the Canadian shows, including
Bliss; lately, she keeps her hair very short.

For a photo of Venus Terzo (the spitting image of Valerie Meech, oddly
      enough) go here--
      http://www.cbc.ca/onair/personalities/davinci/terzo.html

The only online pic I found quickly of Rachel Hayward is from an SG-1 ep.
Not flattering, but identifiable as the Duchess & Delilah--

Subject: Season 2 on sale even cheaper

It seems that Best Buy currently has the Season 2 DVD set on sale
for pre-order for $49.99, instead of the $59.99 they had been
advertising it for. (shipping is free) According to the person
I talked to when I placed my order by phone, the sale price is
only good if you pre-order by their web site or by phone (888-
best-buy). He said pre-orders in the stores will be the higher
price. I'm not sure how long the sale price is good for, but
that seems to be the lowest I've seen anyone selling it for.
There's been some mumbles that the sets BB gets will have an
extra disc that other places won't have but I haven't seen any-
thing official about it. I heard they had done that for another
series (Hercules maybe?) but I don't know how accurate that is.

Despite another Anne appearance, I enjoyed this ep.
Not that I'm all that fond of Kenny "morethanheseems"
mind you. But I think we see some of what may have
influenced him....seeing his father killed and his
mother raped and killed and then what happened to
Amanda...yikes. And, of course, we know how good *she*
      is with her wits.....

At least she came to her senses before it was too
late. Wonder what ever happened to the character. I've
heard of at least one fic about him but haven't read
      it.
