Not much to say on this one....except I like the
flashback scenes....I'll take as many of those
Duncan-in-tight-clothes scenes as they wanna give
      me...LOL.

Haven't seen 'Brothers in Arms' yet but apparently
this was the setup for it.....and here we go with
Anne...not a very good start either.

I noticed one little tiny nitpick but it's
understandable...Karros told Duncan 'you've never been
a slave' and Mac didn't correct him....but then that
didn't come up until later. Just out of curiosity, was
it established in Finale that he was Hazma (sp?)'s
slave or was that not until 'Scimitar'?

Speaking of the books, I've noticed one plot point
that keeps changing....Duncan and Connor's first
meeting....I can kinda accept the contradictions from
the first movie and stuff like that, but once TPTB
establish something in the series,(like that whole
      marriage-or lack thereof-thing) why can't they just
stick with it? *shakes head* I'll never understand
      them.

Mel, who doesn't like to think of that early part of
Scmitar with Duncan all chained up...makes me just
wanna hop in and rescue him....or maybe find a bed
somewhere to attach the chains to<VBEG>....but that's
      something else altogether.

Do you think you could post the article to the list, or if it's too big, to send me a copy off-list as attachment? I tried to go there, but it wasn't there anymore, and to use the archives you have to sign up, pay etc....

      Thanks!

      Try this link:

      http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A7412-2003Jun17.html

As of this morning (June 19) it's available at that address. If anyone else
has difficulty accessing it, email me privately and I'll be happy to send
you an attachment. IMO the article's way too long to be posting to the list
when it's not specifically about HL. (Even so I probably wouldn't post it.)

If it ain't there anymore, I can't cut and paste any component of it to the
      list.

      Sorry...

This was the first time I've heard Jim Byrnes play and
sing and he's good. I enjoyed it.

Is the part where Joe smashes the window with his cane
the part where Jim had so much trouble in the blooper
reel? I do know we see Adrian and Amanda having
problems with lifting the cover from the cross on one
      of the reels.

I really don't have a whole lot to say about the ep,
except that now Joe and Mac have a sort of sad common
bond....at least Mac could empathize with him.

I'm beginning to like 'Scruffy Duncan' in the
flashbacks....I don't know if it's the tight clothes
or the stubble or both, but yum.

He's awesome!!! Check out his cd That River. It's very very cool. He's
also great live. I had the chance to hear his band at the Anaheim
      convention in 98.

I only got to see the last 20 minutes of this ep tonight, and unless i'm not remembering correctly, there were whole snippets that weren't in the original US broadcasts. Those with access to the euros will have to tell us. I don't think the USA or Fox (we got it first run on a local Fox station) had Joe playing through the entire song. Wish JB would release a second CD - or has he and I missed it?
