Subject: Highlander Virus joke
I know I briefly mentioned this to one list it's being
posted to, but I'm not sure about the other. Anyway,
it was inspired by a similar page I found for the
Forever Knight fandom. For the Adriansangels list,
I've also got some Tracker ones....think enough people
will get them if I post them? For Highla-l, I don't
see many things like this posted, but I figured I
would since I don't have a website yet. Some of them
are probably lame, blame it on not having a lot of
knowledge of the series. If anyone can come up with
any to add, feel free to send them to me.

Highlander Viruses
Many of these viruses are extremely dangerous because
they are so difficult to destroy. There have been many
reports of them being destroyed only to come back as
if nothing happened. The Katana anti-virus program is
the best means of destroying many of them. Many of
these viruses have been seen invading the ‘Quicken’
program, sometimes changing its name to ‘Quickening’.
When they destroy other viruses, they may receive
electrical flows that can damage modems and destroying
data.
1. Duncan MacLeod virus-goes around attacking other
viruses while insisting ‘there can be only one’. Not
directly dangerous, but when it defeats another virus
it receives an electrical jolt that will disrupt your
systems. Often seen invading the Quicken program.
Sometimes seen with the Amanda virus, the Connor
MacLeod virus and/or the Ritchie Ryan virus. Sometimes
seen with other viruses in a file called ‘JoesBar’ or
‘LeBlues’. Once seen in a mutation known as
‘EvilDuncanMacLeod’, and is extremely dangerous in
this form.
2. Connor MacLeod virus-popups with the words ‘You’ve
won the prize!’ keep popping up on your screen but if
you click on them, it says there was a mistake and you
haven’t won yet. Sometimes seen with the Duncan
MacLeod virus. Also known to destroy other viruses
while saying ‘there can be only one’ Some say that the
Duncan MacLeod virus has been sucessful destroying
this one, but others refuse to believe it.
3. 1.Amanda virus-gets into your hard drive and
steals all of your data. May be seen with the Duncan
MacLeod virus
       2. Messes up the computer’s cookie-making
ability
4. Ritchie Ryan virus: 1.continuously crashes and
destroys your Windows. Sometimes seen with the Duncan
MacLeod virus, which has been known to destroy it.
                                    2. Your computer
won’t do what you tell it anymore, and when you tell
it not to do something, it does it anyway
5. Horsemen virus-destroys everything in your hard
drive. The Methos virus is sometimes seen with this
virus.
6. Horton Anti-Virus-This is a mutant antivirus
program that destroys viruses, calling them
‘abominations’ but also destroys innocent files in the
process. Some have reported destroying it only to have
it come back again.
7. Watchers Viruses-these are actually applications
that record data on the viruses. Sometimes, though,
they have been known to mutate into a dangerous form
and begin destroying viruses. The Adam Pierson virus
is sometimes seen with this group.
8.Methos Virus-1.mysterious ads for cheap beer show up
in your mailbox. Sometimes seen with the Duncan
MacLeod virus. This virus was thought to be myth by
many. May be seen with the Horsemen virus or trying to
pass itself off as one of the group of Watcher viruses
as the ‘Adam Pierson’ virus. The ‘Cassandra’ virus is
effective against this one to an extent, but hasn’t
been known to destroy it.
9. Katana anti-virus-this program is been found to be
effective against many of the above viruses, with the
exception of the Horton virus. The ‘Claymore’
anti-virus is a variant of this application.
10. Kurgen Virus-destroys everything in its path
while trying to chase the Connor MacLeod virus.
11. Ahriman virus-disguises itself as other viruses
or applications in an attempt to trick another virus,
usually the Duncan MacLeod virus. Has been seen
disguised as the ‘Ritchie Ryan virus’, the ‘Horton
Anti-virus’ and the ‘Joe Dawson’ virus.
12. Joe Dawson virus- a member of the Watcher viruses
that is often seen associating with the Duncan MacLeod
virus.
13.Tessa Noel virus-Hasn’t been seen to cause any
damage, but is often seen with the Duncan MacLeod
virus
14. Cassandra virus-has only been seen to attempt
harming the Methos virus

Subject: Fic Question
Does anyone know of any fics about Connor and Duncan's
first meeting? I know it wasn't covered in the series,
so it stands to reason that there might be fic
somewhere about it but I haven't read a lot of HL fic,
so I don't know where to find much of anything...have
seen some URL's but I'm not sure what's where.
Thanks
Mel

Something strange is going on. There was no black bar
on the bottom of the screen and no split ads at the
end...I actually heard all of the credits song. I'm
not complaining, but anyone know what's up with that?
This was the ep during which the famous "banana
incident" occured...during the tea ceremony scene.
As for the ep itself, it was a good story, though I
still like the idea of Connor giving the sword to him
more. It mystifies me anyway why they said Connor's
was one of a kind, then we see in this ep two
identical ones...newer but identical. Wait, didn't
Connor break his blade in The Sickening? I don't know
if he used the katana in number 3 or not, but by
Endgame, he was using a different sword I think.
Question: If Japan was so hostile to foreigners back
then, how did Connor ever stay long enough to study?
And I'm now seeing some of the descrepencies...Connor
could well have been chasing Kane around while all
this was going on, but it doesn't make sense for him
to say it's over at the end when the series was going
on at the same time and everyone knew it wasn't over.
And was AP just too busy with shooting to be in Final
Dementia?
Mel, who liked the tub scene in this ep....yum! And it
was funny too.

Oops, forgot something: I agree with whoever mentioned
the descrepency with the kid and the archaeologist. I
could see them not coming along in The Gathering, but
we don't even see them in Endgame. Geez, they
contradict themselves a lot.
Mel, who tries to ignore 2 and 3 now.

I think it has something to do with the conversion to Spike TV, but
Spike Lee has put the kibosh on the name for the present.
