Really? Even "bad" HL is preferable to "good" other stuff, to you? Even
"bad" HL w/o Connor & Duncan/CL & AP? At some point, it's time to watch WWF
wrestling & paint dry, instead of DPP's sorry offerings.

Do you think the last 3 HL films (all "bad" by some criteria or other) have
helped the franchise? Any reason to think HL 5 will?

Didn't realize it was my job (or anyone's job, really) to bring flowers,
fresh-baked pies, & pictures of kittens to the list. I'll change my evil
ways immediately, now that I know....

There's closed-minded, & then there's rational, learning from the past,
forming reasonable expectations, & NOT believing anything the HL:Store goons
spout. And, there's also being so vacantly open-minded that any & all
concepts thrive w/o regulation by good sense. Being "open-minded" often
seems an excuse for not bothering to form one's own opinions.

Yes, but if I'm looking for escapism, I want _good_ escapism. Before I'll go
watch any bad movie, including a bad Highlander movie, I'll stay home, save
money, rewatch a good video or read a good book. I have an embarassment of
riches in unread books awaiting me.)

Chris said that even a bad Highlander movie is better than none. To which I
must respectfully disagree. I loved Highlander the series, but the things
that made it the series I loved were absent in Endgame. Re-using the name
and calling something "Highlander" does not a real Highlander product make,
IMNSHO. I'd rather rewatch the series and remember what I loved than see
another movie that goes off in some strange direction and ignores a large
part of what made Highlander magical.

Right. Just I'll put down my flag and never mention Richie or slash
      again.

Just how remote are the chances of any of that happening? <g>

Coming out of lurkdom for a minute. Yes, this channel shows a black strip
along the bottom the entire time. It usually contains the name of the show
you're watching and sometimes other ads. I often watch The Next Gen when
there's nothing else worth watching and it's always there. It's very
annoying. I have yet to learn to ignore it, although I've tried.

I *was* watching American Gladiators on there before
they took it off...except for the rare movie, neither
my mom or I really watch it much. She used to watch it
a lot when it was The Nashville Network. I've found
that the black bar is, indeed, annoying, but I end up
      forgetting it's there after a while. I guess it's
something you just have to learn LOL. It's the same
thing with some movies and shows like Angel that are
sometimes shown in letterbox format. Or the channels
like Scifi with their little symbols in the corner.

      Hasta la bye bye
