Subject: Season 2 DVD question
I sent this yesterday but never saw it go thru.
Does anyone remember when the AnchorBay site said they'd be
releasing the Season 2 DVD set? I don't remmber if they said spring
or summer, summer sounds familiar though. I was looking at their
site earlier today and couldn't find the info. (I know it was
there awhile ago though.) It was interesting to see in the future
releases section they said they're going to be releasing Hercules
and Xena DVD season sets. Since DavisPanzer had been releasing
video sets of some of the H/X seasons it's not much of a suprise
that Anchor Bay will be doing those along with the HL sets.

Actually, it did go through but I figured someone else would be answering.
Anyway, as I recall, it was sometime in the summer. I think I found it by
going to the link for coming attractions.
Hmmm. I'm not finding it now, but I do remember seeing it before. Maybe the
Highlander store asked them to take it off for now? I did see that the
Rick Springfield Nick Night is coming out next month. We didn't get a
channel with the Forever Knight series so I've only seen a little bit of it
when visiting in other cities.

The DVD? I've had it for well over a year. Maybe it's a souped-up version?

Yes, that's the latest atrocity.... But there's a whole page of photos of
him & friend taken at that party, at
http://www.wireimage.com/GalleryListing.asp?navtyp=gls====&evntI=293&PageNum

Just type Adrian Paul in the search box to get to his page. Lots of
previous stuff, too.
Several years ago, I think AP mentioned in an interview that his Italian
aunts sent him fantastic silk shirts, & so those poor ladies took some of
the blame for his highly public sartorial blunders. It's not just shirts,
though--he has a propensity toward unpleasantly splashy suits, ties, shoes
even. I LIKE bright colors, patterns, etc.--just not HIS, for some reason.
Even his jewelry often seems...strange & too much. He's long had an oddly
retro look going, which is fine, but I don't happen to think it suits him.
He's so blasted gorgeous--anything that pulls the eye away from the lily
itself is just wrong.
Nina (Or, maybe it's just the subconscious knowledge that AP looks his best
wearing little-to-nothing at all. Except when Cole was stumbling around in
those briefs--that was just creepy.)

Someone posted this here on the list on 12-28-02, as taken from Anchor Bay's
site--
HIGHLANDER: THE SERIES - Summer 2003
Following the recent success with our release of the first season of
HIGHLANDER: THE SERIES, Anchor Bay Entertainment is happy to report
that we will be releasing the remaining seasons of the show (as well
as the spin-off season of HIGHLANDER: THE RAVEN) in 2003 and beyond.
Look for Season 2 to hit DVD next summer with extra features to be
  announced.
Nina (happy w/ my new stack of DVDs, including HLTS & Farscape, neatly
shrink-wrapped, but still looking askance at my _THICK_ DVD instruction
manual & wondering if Santa doesn't have a sick sense of humor)

It's entirely possible that he just has crappy taste in clothes. Or that he wears crappy clothes so that people will notice him. In a town filled with gorgeous people, one has to do something to stand out - especially when one is not going to be recognized for one's work. He isn't a star..he doesn't have any decent recent work or anything big on the horizon- crappy clothes at least get you photographed. (How else to explain Lara Flynn Boyle's incredible ugly tutu at the Gold Globes?)

Maybe he needs a woman in his life to pick out his clothes?

Nothing subconscious about that at all <g>. AP has a handsome face- but one that can look decidedly weird- something about the eyes. The body, OTOH, always looks good.
>Except when Cole was stumbling around in those briefs--that was just creepy.)
Cole was frequently creepy...but not in a "stranger in a strange land" sort of way. (Which would have been appropriate, after all)
Wendy(Was that PW I saw in the XMen2 ads?)(It was dark but the nose looked familiar)(There's a punch line there, I'm sure)

Yeah, I knew about those, but they are so small that I couldn't see *how*
horrible that shirt was until I saw the one on ebay. ;-)
