The dear old Highlander Store just called and tried to sell me anything they possibly could. When I explained that I had all the videos, she tried to get me to buy the "Best of" set because it was *so* different than the individual videos. Yeah...right.

Best of all...she informed me that a new HL would be back on TV *this* year and a new movie would also be out *this* year.

I can't tell you how excited I am to think about a new HL starring three beautiful, young, new Immortals who team up Mod-Squad style to rid the world of unattractive older Immortals with bad accents. (Now....if these new Immortals were played by Orlando Bloom, Viggo Mortenson, and Kurt Urban I could be persuaded to tune in to watch them ...well ... do almost anything <eg>)

Can I make the humble suggestion (okay, me and humble aren't on speaking
      terms at the mo, but...)

...anytime anyone here gets a phone-call from the Highlander Store and
feels that the service isn't up to scratch, GET THE PERSON'S NAME, TIME and
info. If it was in the UK, I'd tape it, but I understand US laws are
different. The only way to improve the service and stop them lying to you
is to tell Davis Panzer as often and as loudly as possible so that they are
aware of it and, more importantly, SEEN to be aware of it (then inaction
      isn't an option)

Undoubtedly. I had a feeling "Kurt" wasn't right but I didn't feel like checking.(Maybe Kurt is Karl's twin brother?)

OMG!! In the last week or two, the phone rang and the person said " HEY THERE! This is Greg from blah blah" I said "Can you call me back please? I'm really in a huge hurry right now. I have to get to work."
The person has the NERVE (IMHO) to respond "Hey, wait a minute - I won't keep you long" I said "OK" thinking oh, maybe it's not just a sales call and it's important. He starts into the sales spiel (sp?) and I said "Whoa, wait a minute I've said I was in a *big* hurry, need to get to work and you convinced me to continue this because of a *sales pitch*??" I hung up on him - I was soooooo irritated. grr

Colorado has a Statewide no call list. I was pessimistic when I first
signed up to be on it but after it went into effect - and after the first
week or so (last summer) I have had maybe one a week.

I'd heard they were working on a National no call list but they dropped it
      for some reason.

And - just this last week we've been told we can put cell phone numbers on
      the list too.

Indiana has a no call list too and it has been wonderful since I signed up.
But there *are* plans for a National no call list being organized. Their
initial databank will come from the states that already have such lists.

I stopped worrying about being rude to telemarketers and the volume of
calls dropped dramatically. "Not interested. Go away." worked wonders.
