OK folks. You did it. I have to post. I don't think I've posted in several
years. But seeing ZK and Red57 (who led me into all sorts of mischief by
sending me to Earth2 fandom which led to Star Trek stuff on line, then B5,
then heck my whole life these days just about), and Marina. And now you
talk about l*g*n. I so remember the days of HL statistics discussions
coming to me on the VAX mainframe at work via a 1200 buad modem. And Kip
and the cows. And my first foray into anonymous ftp (thank goodness for the
web) And. . . and so many things.

      flagwaver among other things.)

Great to wallow in nostalgia, isn't it?

It never stop being on in Canada ... for at least four years now, it has
been daily on television; three times a day on Space in English - although
the third showing got drop at some point. And six times a week in French.
On and on and on ... endlessly .....

Same here. We get the British Cable version of the Sci-Fi Channel on
satellite, and they've been showing it every few months. At one
stage it was on in the morning and in the night. Which was fine with
me, because I at least managed to get all the episodes that way!
(I wish they'd show regular HL, because I'd really like to get the
Euro versions of some of the eps.)

I liked it. Nick was yummy. I've always been sad that there aren't
more stories (Nina, don't look - fiction discussion ahead!) about
Nick as a new immie. Does anyone know of any sites where I might
      find some?

      you still out there??)

There are two on mine - well sort of, one from Amanda's
      POV and one from Nick's.

I have had the biggest kick reading the threads as of late. All the
stuff brings back very happy memories. I have been through a lot w/
Highla-l. You all were here for me when I lost Les in late Dec. 99. I
remember the "wars" on the fiction list ( i was the unknown wombat)
CyberCons and all the other things that went on back then; the good old
days. I was mistress at arms of the EDM flag wavers. ( had to go to EDM
as cuz when it was ED ppl called him Mr.ED). Don't post much here
anymore, but have enjoyed reading the posts.
      ...............................back to lurkdom.......................

I was too polite for geezerdom, and never felt like I counted as a Methsulah, but I'm still here. Way back when, I was jillmari@aol.com or jilkey@umich.edu then went by a couple of other addies along the way. (Waves to the metro Detroit Highla-l contingent Janine, Sandy, and others past and present)

But I'm one of the people who helped pay for Debbie's whip, and can remember Deb, Rob and the ponytail, many discussions with the old AOL chat crew back when it was $3.50/hour for AOHell, swapped an e-mail or two with Kip (I was flattered when he said something I wrote was funny), remember the immie menstruation debate, remember being one of a bunch of eternal grad students on list (anyone hear how Claire Maier or Danny are doing lately?) and I've still got my old list t-shirt.

Thanks to y'all for bringing some silliness and fun into my life during some dark times I've had over the years.

Now lucky enough to be a beach bum in the land of palm trees,

There are more geezers here. I remember when I read Kip had passed
away. I was sitting at my computer at work with tears streaming down my
face for a man I had never actually met -- but was glad to say I knew.

I was also there when two of our list denizens met for real -- they
      later married!
