Please feel free to pass this information along to any interested parties or
lists. Please keep the message intact.

I've done a big update at Leah's Toonarama site, adding many cartoons, color
and the older ones in black and white.

This update includes cartoons from: Quantum Leap, Highlander, Stargate
SG-1/Stargate the Movie, The X-Files, Beauty & the Beast, Babylon 5,
Millennium, The Archers, Xena, Forever Knight and Miami Vice. Many of these
cartoons have been published in Starlog in the past. Many more to come as I
      go through the archives!

And to think I've spent the last two days (school holiday, you know)
watching a bunch of Highlander episodes.

I wonder if there's something in the atmosphere making all of us

I've been busy doing 'toons, I guess. Here's a new page that Annie designed
for me so that you can see a whole bunch of them in multiple fandoms:

      http://cartoons.ashtonpress.net/toonarama.htm

...and here's the latest incarnation of the HIGHLANDER toon pages:

      http://cartoons.ashtonpress.net/bizcart.htm ...and...
      http://cartoons.ashtonpress.net/metcasstoons.htm

And here's some STARGATE 'toons I've been doing:

      http://cartoons.ashtonpress.net/startoons.htm

I've also been invited to Guest at DRAGON*CON in Atlanta this year. Hope to
see some of the gang there...

Hey! Geezer yourself! (and I'd been wondering about that yummy new photo on
the cover of the catalog, too).

My dear hubby still groans when we're watching something on TV and I'll lean
over and say "Highlander connection." There are a lot of actors that had
one-shot (but memorable) appearances that went on to other things. It's
      always fun to spot them.

Maybe it's time to construct a "6 Degrees of Duncan MacLeod" game.

I think every once in a while, we just want to watch something that we
know we're going to like. It's comforting. Maybe you're cleaning out your
closet (:::waves to comet:::) and you find some of your old tapes. And you
pop one in the VCR, and you say "hey, this was pretty cool!" Even though
you know what's going to happen, you get caught up in the action all over
      again.

And then you read things like ZK's post about watching a scene in "BDIBA,"
and you know what it stands for, without having to think about it for very
      long...

Thanks. Did you know this just from the description, or do you have the
catalog? If it's just from the description, how many viewings does it take
to become so proficient at identifying scenes? ;) I've only seen that ep
      once or twice.

Oh, geez, and the locations! It's fun to see the alley that
Duncan and Joe walked through in The Watchers, or any of a
zillion other sites (Hey! What is Jack O'Neill doing there!
Wait- that's the back of the Escher Antique Store!). One that
I've seen recently - can't remember what show it was - is the
asylum from - oh, heck - memory is slipping - the one with the
Forever Knight guy. oh yeah, Turnabout. Even old shows -
MacGyver used that same location in at least one ep; "Hey!
That's the closet where they found the dead watcher!". Heh.

It depends on the level of obsession (well, the nature of a
person's memory, too) <g> In HL's heyday (and mine), I watched
it incessantly, though as the series progressed and I got more
eps recorded, it was harder to watch them all. We also discussed
them in great detail here, on AOL, and in chats, dissecting the
most minute details of a scene or line of dialog (I like salads,
btw). That *had* to be disconcerting for the writers <g>.

They made an impression on me, and there was some sort of magic
to them, especially when they were fresh and new and I didn't
know who they were going to whack next, or what was going to
      happen.

Eventually, I got where I could pretty well run them in my head
and didn't need to watch them any more, though I think my memory
is slipping. :::: poking cane into back of Ginny's rocker ::::

The description--the sword kick & that shirt--would have been enough, but my
      catalog arrived this week, too!

      ZK--
      >>>Eventually, I got where I could pretty well run them in my head
and didn't need to watch them any more, though I think my memory
      is slipping. >>>

I used to run through mentally all the ep titles in order, or JUST the eps
w/--say--Richie or Joe in them, or ONLY the eps w/ no Q in them, etc.--to
get through the more painful forays to the gym. Nice to find practical
applications for a Highlander obsession & a mind disposed to trivia....
Now, other obsessions beckon, but there will NEVER be anything like HL.
Things DO start to fade, though, & I HATE losing the details of it.

Well, she's going to have a BIG honkin' artwork display, that's for sure.
Apparently, the art space was all gone, but one of the artists backed out and
they let Leah have the space...but it's evidently a big block. So now she's
got to work on getting enough artwork ready. :-)

Wow. Synchronicity. I just got my S1 DVDs this morning and immediately
sat down and spent three and a half hours that I had really planned to
use doing something else, watching eps I hadn't seen in the longest. It
was fab. The DVDs are fab. And I got 'em less than a week after I
