I discovered today that a two DVD set of the first movie "Highlander: The
Immortal Edition" is being released on April 16th 2002. Amazon already
have this listed as their 466th best seller from pre-orders.
It's billed as the "uncensored director's cut". As opposed to the 10th
Anniversary "director's cut", so who knows what the difference is? I
thought they'd pretty well included everything they could get their hands
on already.
The only other extra I saw that differed from the current version is that
there are Queen music videos and a CD with Queen material.

Oooooh.
Tempting.
But no...I'll think I'll wait for the 'No, Honestly, This Time We Really
Mean It. Positively and Absolutely the Last, Ultimate and Definitive Version
of Getting You To Pay Again and Again For the Only Really Decent Movie in
the Highlander Franchise Beacuse We Need the Income."
Unless of course, it's only available through the Highlander Store.

I doubt the footage of the movie will be any different than the
director's cut... but the original DVD transfer was pretty horrible.
It was done early on and there are a lot of artifacts (which is why
this DVD so quickly landed in the clearance pile) so a new and better
quality transfer would be nice to see.

(who will have a director's cut laser disc for sale, cheap, once this
comes out)

Russell Mulcahy, who directed the original Highlander movie,
is the director of the pilot for J. Michael Straczinsky's
new show, Jeremiah. Jeremiah, starring Luke Perry and
Malcolm Jamal-Warner, will be premiering on Showtime on Mar.
