Aw dammit, it's the director's cut from the DVD. Faith is alive at the
end. Shouldn't have been too cheap to get it on Pay Per View, but I
thought for sure Showtime would have the theatrical version.

Never mind that last message. I just heard on another list that it was
different than any of the versions we've gotten before. I taped it, but was
not able to see it until the last 20 min or so, which looked the same as
the DVD. I can't watch it right now since Tracker is coming up.

I just watched it on Showtime. This was the first time I've
seen any version of the movie.

The sound was out of synch for half of the movie. (Lips were
about a second off from the dialog.) Was it like that with
      any of the other versions?

The movie was a bit less than 100 minutes long.

      Regards,
      Bill

Unless they had commercials (sorry, I don't have
Showtime), then you were probably watching the
workprint that was on the second DVD. This may or may
not explain the lipsync problem (which may be the
result of bad editing software), since I have not
      actually seen this version.

NO. And that was sooo annoying, wasn't it? I did like this version better
than the one shown in theaters and on PPV, but when the sound was out of
synch with the lips, it was almost laughable. There did seem to be one part
that I don't remember being in any of the versions, including the ones on
the dvd. When Duncan was walking by the pay phone and it was ringing, after
he picked it up and was talking, they showed Faith's face. I don't remember
ever seeing Faith during that phone call, does anyone else? It was as if
Duncan knew who he was talking to. And as I remember it from the other
versions, he didn't have a clue.

No it wasn't the workprint that I have. This looked more like the longer
version on the dvd, but there were subtle differences.

Its on the DVD version - I just checked my copy. I really couldn't see any
differences between the DVD version and the one that was aired last night.

And I too was hoping to get the theatrical version - I preferred the ending
in that one (but not much else). Guess I missed my chance when it was on
      PPV.
