I have been literally deluged on two different lists and in lots of private emails to send the magnificent CAH "Jimmy Scene" video (2 mins. 47 secs) (5 MB) via zipped email attachments. I have done it 8 times and failed 6 times--after a 76-minute "Send" time EACH time via my pokey Dial-Up Modem at 50-53.3 bps. The failures were due to the Receivers' mailboxes not being able to accept such a large mail attachment (or to having problems opening the zipped file cuz of not having an "unzipper"!). I broadcast my (and the requestors') woes on the Methosscrolls List . . . and the wonderful writer, fiction library archivist, and Super Techie RACHEL TRENCH in the UK...who was at WORK! <g> came through for me and everyone else who ever wanted this video sitting in a shortcut on their desktop. I sent the video to Rachel Monday, 11:12 pm my time (and 9:12 am "England time") ... and 76 minutes later Rachel GOT IT! Faster than blazes, Rachel had a webpage set up on Angelfire just for "Jimmy." It's called, oddly enough, "Welcome to the Jimmy Scene page." And here is where our most famous Highlander Scene "lives" now: www.angelfire.com/nj3/thefictionlibrary/jimmy.html It took me only 17 minutes to download it from Rachel's Jimmy page, unzipped instantly to my C:\All New Downloads folder, and just a click later it was playing in Windows MediaPlayer 7.0, but I imagine it will play just fine in whatever your own default .avi/movie player is. Good luck and enjoy. And deepest thanks and warmest regards to the wondrous Rachel Trench whom many of you know from lots of good lists and her fiction and her library (Athers Fiction Library). The following is a message that Janeen Grohsmeyer <darkpanther@erols.com> (who is no longer on HIGHLA-L) asked me to post for her. So please send all your replies to Janeen, not to me and not to the list. Again, that's: Janeen Grohsmeyer <darkpanther@erols.com>.
