I found this part of what AP said about HL:EG _very_ interesting indeed--
"I didn't like it. ... The stuff was there but it was never edited
correctly. ... it was never really brought together in the editing
process."

Yes I did. I got it last week. But had to go to my sons house to see it
asa I haven't got a dvd player yet. Mine is 2 discs and We watched the
first one. The ending is different than the one we saw in the movie
theatre. Liked this one better.

I'm curious about why this wasn't posted to the fiction list. Not
that there's a problem with posting it here, but the fiction writers
are on that list and a lot of them are NOT on this list, so ... Why
not also post this message on HLFIC-L?

Ah ... hmmm. What about the mention of historical persons or famous
persons? Like, if I say something about Neil Armstrong and Apollo
11, do I have to have written permission from Neil Armstrong to
mention him in the story? Or ... Shakespeare? Or, if I mention Mick
Jagger's music--do I need permission from him to talk about
"Satisfaction"? Or if I mention the improvements the recent mayors of
New York did in that city--do I have to have letters from Koch and
Giuliani (sp?) to say something about that if one of my characters is
just reflecting on how much better the New York subways are now? And
what about stories that mention real people, but are obviously
intended to be humorous? I think this rule needs a little
clarification. Well, maybe a lot of clarification.
And as for stories being archived only if submitted by the author,
what if the author is dead? Monica Jordan wrote a lot of wonderful
stories that I'd love to see archived, but she died in 1998.
