      But,

      And there you go. A response to Carmel that couldn't have been stated more
      politely and nicely...and yet you and your thesaurus seem DETERMINED to add
      some negative emotion to it, depsite every single thing to the contrary.
      "Gee you WERE polite, but I'll bet you WERE really pissed off too????"
      Strange reasoning, indeed and obviously - to everyone else on this List -
      utterly wrong. I had the grace to apologise if I'd misconstrued your
      tone/wording and yet all you can do is pick out some poor alliteration in a
      vain effort to salvage your point.

      Simply stating an opposing fact is not the same as 'getting upset' with the
      person who made the original comment, however much you may wish to think
      otherwise. As a lawyer, I'm surprised you keep making that fundemental
      mistake. Rather than simply arguing your case on its merits (which you've
      done well on several occassions) you now seem to take every opportunity to
      undermine the writer of the post with catty asides. That's NOT the same as a
      criticism of content, or even of writing style....it's just a basic cheap
      shot, especially when blatantly incorrect.

      You may not the only person to do that, but it remains a rather depressing
      tactic (and any 'everybody else is doing that anyway' defence would kinda
      fly in the face of your other moral stances).

      LucasFilms has given official sanction to a website which hosts Star Wars
      fan films; the "Star Wars showcase and breeding ground for films made by
      fans, for fans". Not only do the films use the Star Wars universe and
      characters, their creators make money on them. Royalty payments are based
      on the advertising and sponsorship revenues generated by the
      website. Films must be parodies or documentaries, and fanfic is not accepted

      This is does not prove that LucasFilms disapproves of fanfic. It's at
      least as likely they exclude it for the same reason most TV shows,
      including HL, don't accept unsolicited scripts. They're protecting
      themselves from future lawsuits charging plagiarism. In the absence of
      other evidence no conclusion can be drawn regarding George Lucas' attitude
      toward fanfic.

      No need to jump on this with comments about the relative legality of
      parodies, documentaries, and fanfic. We've been round that bush so many
      times we've worn a rut in the dirt. I'm simply providing an example of
      PTB *inviting* fans to play in their universe, using their toys, and even
      make some money from it.

      Hi all

      I've been having fun reading the Official Tracker web site which has just
      been updated:

      Check out the latest updates to the Tracker Official page - :

      And here are pictures of his co-star (thanks Leah)

      I must admit that I am looking forward to this Series - particularly as it
      sounds as if they are going to attempt many of het things that I love so
      much about Highlander - attempting story arcs and putting a strong emphasis
      on characterisation and relationships. I also like the idea of it having a
      pub as a focus. And I particularly like the idea of Adrian, that well known
      control junkie actually *having* such control over so much of the
      production.

      Remember those days when a new episode of Highlander was coming on? I'm
      beginning to feel the same way about Tracker. Sure I've watched other shows
      since HL finished but I just haven't found a series that really grabs me
      like HL did. Have I missed it? Is it out there and I just haven't come
      across it?

      It appears that Adrian's character's alien life form will be (SPOILER)

      Here is the synopsis:

      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      http://www.trackertv.com/synopsis.html
      There's been a prison break. Over a hundred dangerous convicts have escaped.
      They're led by Zin, the smartest and most ruthless felon known to man. But
      these criminals aren't from any world we know...they're from planets that
      could eat us for lunch. Zin devised a wormhole in space that transported all
      of them to Chicago, where they've set up shop and now traffic in every kind
      of criminal activity imaginable.
      They have powers that are no match for us: the ability to take the form of
      any human or animal, super-strength and speed, superior intelligence, and
      something even more frightening - each one of them is a different kind of
      alien being - and they each have powers that are individual, unique...and
      immense!
      But the prison has sent help. A TRACKER. His mission is to capture each and
      every one of them, dead or alive. He teams up with Mel, a hip, 28th year old
      bar-owner with a destiny she will soon discover.
      They're a kick-ass couple, an alien and an earthling. Fighting the evils of
      the universe...and, at the same time fighting something even stronger - an
      attraction to each other
