Oh yes...I have it *so* bad for CL that I have to make comments about Adrian's sexual preferences to amuse myself.

      A. It was a friggin' joke.

      B. I do not now, nor have I ever, "gone" for CL.

      C. It was a friggin' joke.

      D. Suggesting that AP has a boyfriend is not "bad". If you think it is...you haven't really seen "bad".

      E. It was a friggin' joke.

Wendy (What part of "incomprehensible accent, Neanderthal brow ridges, slouching shoulders and bad hair" sounded like I went for CL?)

You *have* heard of the Second Amendment, right? Also, since when

Look! Jokes are OK on this list. Sexual innuendo is OK on this
list. But please don't take it too seriously. None of us here really
-know- AP or CL. They are celebrities! We know their public 'faces'
and that is it. Do you believe -everything- you read about them in the
magazines? Hear about them on TV? Read and see about them on the
Internet? No? I didn't think so.

So when someone on this list jokingly suggests that one of the
Highlander actors may be something that you -know- that they could
never be ( gay? straight? a lion tamer? a name misspeller? a
non-recycler? illiterate? a Rhodes scholar? a former postal worker? a
weasel insulter? or - heavens forbid! - a recluse? ) should you
comment about it? Of course. Should you get angry and take them to
task for impugning the honor of your favorite celebrity. Why?. Don't
you think that's just taking things too far? After all this is a
discussion list. All sorts of ideas and opinions are allowed here (as
long as you follow the rules).

Remember it takes at least -two- people to make an argument. If you
don't take part then there can't be an argument.

And keep it polite. Nuff said.

      Me:
Um, if I'm not mistaken all or most of the Highlander movies, including both
shows, have been pretty low budget. Plus they have yet to really make a
serious killing at the box office including royalties. They've been lucky to
break even. As much as I love Highlander, this is a fact that I can accept
and deal with so I can enjoy the movies and the TV shows. So I fail to see
how returning Connor to life will rejuvenate the franchise. And the trickle
down theory? yes, it has worked to a degree for our government I don't see
it working for Highlander. How many jobs has Highlander created over the
years? Were they given breaks in the costs of various equipment and such to
try to bring in more of a profit by spending the money on crew and cast so
that they in turn would spend more money on various things, giving those
other people more money and so forth. Last I checked this never occurred so
the trickle down theory wouldn't work. So I still fail to see how you are
helping everyone out by being as 'radical' as this. The FBI working with the
Consortium (or whatever you call it)(Plus you have yet to give us any
explanation as to what this is and if it is in fact real. I agree that not
everything you see on the net is real)? To what means and how far are you
going to take this? We all wanted Ziest to disappear, but it still exists.
As much as we'd all like to ignore it, it's there. Just like Connor is dead,
and a lot of us would have preferred it differently, it's not going to
change. So I see your efforts here as lost and there is no point to them.

Thank you Debra. I find it a bit odd and more than a little ironic than

TPTB met with myself and peter veneem in December. they know our demands
      and
      are conisdering our requests.

List, FYI, Ginger Buchanan, who has written a HL novel and of course, knows
*where* DPP offices are and who to contact, has
inquired about this supposed meeting, and no one at DPP knows Lance or any
of his other figments of imagination, nor met with him in Dec. or any other
      time...

Rita, we can all stand for just. Is it possible that some people don't see=20
the fight for Connor as a just one. I thought justice was different to=20
different people depending upon their perspectives. In fact, that theme was=
      =20
recurrent in HL, particularly the episode with the terrorist woman who worke=
      d=20
with Duncan in germany and who Duncan has to stop from blowing up certain=20
other persons (help me with the name of this ep if anyone can.) In that=20
episode, justice to Duncan was very different from justice to her, even=20
though they once shared the same views. Duncan's experiences had changed=20
him. I feel that way about the Connor issue, some of us just know it needs=20
to be fought for, and others think its pointless. Either way, how do we kno=
      w=20
      who is right?

What just cause? How is what you're doing going to make the world a better

My theory is sound. If TPTB bring back Connor, they strengthen the economic=
      =20
stability of the franchise and DPP. DPP's prosperity than aids us all=20
through the trickle down effect of economics. Even the poorest of us will=20
eventually benefit from the economic prosperity at the top. In this way, I=20
argue that fighting for Connor indirectly help the homeless and the hungry.=20=
      =20
People thought I was crazy when I urged HL fans to fight for Connor instead=20
of working in soup kitchens on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The impact could=
      =20
      be so much greater.

Just like Connor is dead,
and a lot of us would have preferred it differently, it's not going to
change. So I see your efforts here as lost and there is no point to them.>>

See my discussion above. The trickle down theory will aid the homeless if=20
      Connor is brought back.
