      Hi all

Hmm - somewhere I missed Lisa's post? But I have to say that I agree
with Sandy's views. I suppose that if people are avid Methos or Richie
or Slan {s:h:u:d:d:e:r} fans that they regard Duncan as a gross
interruption in their viewing pleasure and essentially *put up with him*
until their favorite appears. Duncan is merely a means to an end. I
can sympathise with the feeling (*not* of cours with not being an avid
Duncan fan!!). Take the 6th season...I found 75% of every episode
(excpet Justice, Two of Hearts/indiscretions/To Be and Not To Be) as
boring as watching paint dry. BUT....I put up with all the Duncanless
scenes simply as a means to an end in order to catch 15 mins of my
darling Scot...it was a small price to pay to watch how Duncan was
going....where his journey was taking him....so I guess that it's the
same for the Citroen fans....they will put up with anything in order to
catch that fleeting glimplse of the citroen rolling into the Seine in
'Til Death'...everything else is noise on the line......

my kindest regards (Yes Nina, even to you......)

No, I think she was referring to the post from long ago. You know,
when we were all fighting. I think I prefer the fighting (Hi, Nina!)
to the silence because at least we were talking about HL!

I think I said something like that; that some people might feel that
way, but it really doesn't apply to me. I like HL for the concept.
And Duncan as hero is part of the concept. This does not mean that
      one cannot see Duncan's faults (the best heroes always have faults;
that's what makes them heroes) but that does not mean I hate him.
I like Richie more (hands up who did not know that) but although he
was in it a lot, a sidekick is really an extra - a sidekick is not
part of the HL concept. Duncan is the hero; everyone else is
peripheral. And it doesn't really make sense to hate the hero.

Disclaimer (not necessarily directed at Carmel): I'm just putting
forward my own view; I hope I have not (like last time) answered
something no one was asking. And, you know, if I have... live with it.

Which reminds me--since Richie _was_ just the side-kick (& an expendable one
at that), shouldn't he have been kicked (hard) in the side a LOT more often?

Nina (since my name keeps popping up in these posts in aside comments, I
thought I should say _something_, but I don't give a rat's ass about people
who hate DM yet watch/ed HL to gripe about him, so....)
