       Ignore it)

Amy Price-Francis takes a chance on inter-species tracker

By CLAIRE BICKLEY -- Toronto Sun

TORONTO -- Toronto actress Amy Price-Francis has chosen sci-fi over
      Shakespeare.

The National Theatre School grad passed on an invitation to join the
Stratford company in order to take a chance on syndicated TV stardom. She's
landed the female lead role in Tracker, the Canadian-made action hour just
underway here for an October debut.

Price-Francis (Little Men, The Associates) is playing Mel, the human
sidekick to star Adrian Paul (of Highlander renown). He's an alien sent to
Earth from another planet to hunt down dozens of otherworldly escaped
convicts. She's a rookie reporter who has suffered some hard knocks.
      Inter-species sparks will certainly fly.

The 22-episode show is being produced by Lions Gate Television with Gil
Grant (Relic Hunter) as executive producer. It's been cleared for broadcast
in 90% of the U.S. In Canada, CHUM Television has ponied up for the
property and will premiere it on VR Oct. 18 with a national debut on Space
      later this fall.
