And the ending was nice...all that splitting in half to show something related to the duality....im not really clear though. Could someone explain it to me a bit more? And of course we get shirtless Mac...yummmmmm Mel ===== The trouble with immortality is that it tends to go on forever-Herb Cain FK:NickNatPacker, Knight of the Cross,Knightie, Natpacker/Highlander:Duncan Flag-Waver/Due South Fan/Tracker Fan/Angel Fan/Port Charles Fan __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Marina takes a shot-- > Um... Sha'nok? (The German female from the Nazi episode. Don't > remember her name; that's her name in Stargate.) Musetta Vander played Immie Ingrid Henning in The Valkyrie. But--we have no reason to think she & DM were ever lovers. (Aside from the fact he is DM & she had a pulse....) The FB sequences looked a bit tense for casual romps; all references were to "old friends." No, w/ the woman I mean (an Immie by the way), there's absolutely no doubt they were lovers--we saw it onscreen. I should have remembered that, since she is South African. >No, w/ the woman I mean (an Immie by the way), there's absolutely no doubt >they were lovers--we saw it onscreen. Oh, Nefertiri. I'm honestly not sure about them being right (especially with some of the more disturbing creeps we've seen on the show and in the films), but that stance is at least understandable. If Even one resourceful Immortal, never mind several, manage to clue in to the existance of The Watchers, then (as Jack very aptly pointed out in season four/five) there is a very real and very dangerous risk that the agents themselves would be hunted down and eliminated. In another field, there's the issue of something like a "Prime Directive" for want of a better term. Who knows how The Game would be misdirected if The Watchers tampered with things? Even the most well-intentioned interference can be potentially disastrous (frankly it's a minor miracle that the s***'s only hit the fan so much up to this point). > Was Darius more/less right than the Watchers? Again, morality is grey, but it's at least understandable why he would do this. I'll admit I don't know a lot about Darius (having only seen a fraction of season 1), but since I am aware that he used to be a far more sinister person until sometime before Duncan met him, I would think that he didn't interfere because he not only wanted to avoid the bloodshed of his past, but since he'd become a Catholic priest by then (which includes a certain degree of neutrality by itself) he may have been desperate to stay to the codes of that organization as a kind of redemption (at least in his own mind if not in reality). Let's open this to the floor and see what happens. Stephen ===== "Never become more popular than the boss... unless you intend to sack him." This was a show about vampires based on the White Wolf RPG Vampire The Masquerade. There were several beheadings in this show. One by katana and I think all of the rest were by kukri. I kept waiting for the Quicking to come of the bodies. I guess I am just too used to Highlander. Sigh. Jason P.S. But you do get to see the headless bodies. ------------------------------ End of HIGHLA-L Digest - 16 May 2003 to 17 May 2003 (#2003-79) **************************************************************
