First off, nkbarret@accessnv.com, you asked me for the early chapters. I tried to send them to you but they bounced, can you send me your address again? May- be I have it wrong. Now, to everyone else.... :) I just wanted to clarify something about the MacKenzie Chronicles. I'm trying very hard to stay within the boundaries of historical fact with this one, as some of you might have picked up. On the same note, I know that my research may be less than entirely accurate and, moreover, that I'm taking alot of artisic license with historical truths. So, enjoy my spin on things, and only point out the really glaring historical innaccuracies, okay? *grin* For example, (for those of you who've been reading the story up to date, for the rest, this may be spoilers ;) Queen Mary really was interred in Edinburgh at this time, as was Kenneth Org of the MacKenzie clan sixty-five years before that, and it was Colin MacKenzie who was the chieftain of that time, and the other clans that supported Mary after her escape were Campbell, Buchanan, and so forth.... On the other hand, Colin did not, to my knowledge, have a young son named Brian who single-handedly rescued Mary, but it seemed like a natural connection to attempt. You'll see lots of these "well" (snicker, snicker) re- searched facts adding some grounding and background to the future chapters of the story. Just the author's two cents, Brian =========================================================================
