However, the story is mine. This is a continous post that someone else started (I believe Noah Johnson -- if this is wrong let me know and I will give credit to the right person), that can be retrieved from the mithral archive site. This is more from the "Excerpts From the Diaries of Methos" series. btw - comments and criticisms are welcomed, email them to sph04346@pegasus.cc.ucf.edu Excerpts From the Diaries of Methos (c1) by comet Translated from some ancient language that is no longer commonly used and the date on this page has been worn away. As I stand in the background of time and watch the days and weeks fall past me, I began to wonder if my fate is to watch all my friends grow old and die or if I am here to learn more about mankind. I cannot decide this for today I have buried yet another lover, friend and mortal. This time at such an early age that I thought life was not fair to make me so long-lived. I cannot even tell myself if it was worse to be her lover or never to have loved her to began with. I mean I was not the easiest person to get along with and I _did_ keep many a secret from her. I know she would not have cared that I would never have aged with her. And I know it would have upset her for a while had I told her that we could not have children, but she would have turned a sad thought into something positive -- like she always did. It seemed that I would always have the time to tell her later, but fate would see me lose another love and watch my heart break. I pour these words out on this page, so that I may remember her and see the grief that I felt on this day some time in the future, but the one thing that I most want to remember of her, is her warmth towards everyone and her smile. -- flag waver for those that should be remembered (Darius, Fitz, Rebecca Horne and Ramirez) ** comet's ever changing sig line: Do not take life to seriously.
