I ran out of time at the lab and had to get off line before I finished or the lab worker was going to lock my account. :( (The lab was closing and he wanted me gone) Anyway, read and enjoy. This is real short but don't worry, I've got another Lovejoy/Highlander crossover in the works. Thanks to all who wrote and told me they enjoyed the story. Ya'll are the reason I write this stuff!! :) Quick rundown on the character Lovejoy: Lovejoy is a character from 'The Lovejoy Mysteries' on A&E (a cable channel). He's an English Antiques dealer with a sixth sense for discovering old and valuable objects (antique or otherwise). In my first story 'Lovejoy Meets Connor MacLeod' I posed the question, what would happen if a person who can detect old and valuable objects (Lovejoy) met someone or something that was 'old and valuable' (Connor MacLeod). The results are quite....interesting. If you need a copy of 'Lovejoy Meets Connor MacLeod', e-mail me at the address below. The other character in this story is Tinker Dill, a 'barker' for Lovejoy, he goes to antique shows and estate sales and find things for Lovejoy to appraise. As you will soon see, that's not all he does. Disclaimer: I didn't put one of these things in my last story but I am this time just 'cause. The characters Lovejoy and Tinker Dill are copyrighted by 'The Lovejoy Mysteries' produced by 'Witzend Productions' and are used without permission. The character Connor MacLeod is copyrighted by 'Highlander: The Movie' and is also used without permission. Is that dry enough? All right then, on with the show! ________________________________________________________________________________ Addendum: 'Lovejoy Meets Connor MacLeod' By Amy M. Denton "Who was that?" Tink asked Lovejoy, as he watched Connor walk off. Tink knew darn good and well who had just brushed past him but he wanted to be sure. "Connor MacLeod." Lovejoy replied, turning to the back of the shop. "Really?" Tink's interest was piqued. "What did he want?" "Didn't say, come help me in the back," Lovejoy said, walking toward the far door. "All right." Tink replied. He stood in the doorway a moment longer, starring in the direction Connor had walked off in. Slowly, very slowly, he took off his slouch cap and, with his left hand, ran his fingers through his white hair. As he replaced his cap, a small bluish object appeared on his left wrist. Upon closer inspection, the object became a tatoo of a circle within a circle, with a trefoil in the middle of the second circle. "Interesting," he said to himself, "very interesting." "Tink!?" Lovejoy's voice floated out from the backroom. "Are you coming?" "Be there in a moment Lovejoy," Tink replied, distracted. "All right," came the grumbled response. Tink thought. He would have to make a few calls this evening and find out from his fellow Watcher's. He turned rather abruptly and walked toward the back of the shop. The matter neatly stored away in his memory, ready to be pulled out when he needed it. Connor MacLeod in Suffolk, England? Very interesting indeed. THE END!!!! (For now) ________________________________________________________________________________ Thanks for reading! Amy D. z_dentonam@titan.sfasu.edu
